Chapter 24

Moon's eyes slowly opened. Her eyes wandered around. Her eyesight was still a bit of blur. It took some moment to actually be able to see. She realised that she was in a hospital room and an american nurse were standing there writing something on her paper and adjusting the glucose bag. Seeing her regain her consciousness, that nurse looked at her and said in pure American English, "You woke up? Let me call your manager." Moon was about to sit up when that lady stopped her, "Hey, don't get up. Lie down. Your body is still weak."

Saying the nurse went out to call Madame Shin. After a few minutes, Madame Shin came in followed by Soul, Bora and Yerin. Madame Shin crossed her arms as she looked at her with strict eyes. "Is it fun to sneak out at night? You could have die, idiot."

Moon didn’t say anything. Her mind was that moment when she saw Yunhee in Yoongi's arms. She was somewhere hoping and praying that it was her dream only.

"Where is Yunhee?" she asked.

"Yunhee eonnie is in another room. She is quite better than you as she got back her consciousness after a while after taking her to hospital." Soul said.

"And me?" Moon asked.

"It's been two days since you were unconscious." Bora revealed.

Moon didn’t expect it. But she guessed the childhood fear got her. She didn’t say anymore. Madame Shin sat beside her.

"Ya...Yunhee told us everything. I understand she is younger but you are older. Why did you support her to sneak out? If you needed something, you should have just call me. I would arrange it for you. Am I dead? Your manager is still alive. Then why did you take risk despite knowing that people didn’t forget the scandal yet?" Madame Shin scolded her.

"Yaa...Madame Shin. Don't scold her now. Give her a break." Yerin said as she didn’t like her eonnie to be scolded like this.

"Yunhee..." Yerin cut her words and said, "Haejin eonnie and Aerum eonnie are there with her. Don't worry."

"Yeah. Besides, Yoongi sunbae-nim is also there." Bora said.

So it was not her dream only. It happened. She saw it right. Her hurt ache. One sided love hurts. She felt for every boy who proposed her and got rejected by her till date. She bit her inner cheeks trying hard not to cry infront of them. She nod.

"Right. Nothing will happen to her till sunbae-nim is there with her." she smiled but it didn’t reach her eyes.

"Yeah even though she couldn’t find signal but turns out, before getting unconscious fully, she got a bit signal and somehow managed to send a gesture to him that you guys are in trouble. Turns out, Yoongi sunbae-nim was also in New York. He somehow tracked her phone and found you two and then he only-"

A sudden burst out of door cut off Bora's words.

"Miyeon-ah......" Moon's mother entered the room. Madame Shin stepped backward giving her space to meet her daughter. Lee Chae-yeon hugged her daughter tightly. Miyeon didn’t return the hug. Her eyes were on the person who came with her mother. The person who was unfortunately her father.

Her mother checked on her whether she was hurt or not. "You are alright, right?"

Her gaze was still on her father. "Not dead yet." she said. Her mother looked behind at her father. The tension was raw in the room. Everyone was feeling it. Madame Shin along with the girls excused herself.

Miyeon and her parents were alone in the room. "I told you before. No need to become an idol. Why to risk your life? You didn’t listen." Lee Byeong-Ho said.

Miyeon chuckled. "The world is still safer than your house, Mr. Lee. At least, there are people who can save me here. But there, no one is there."

"We are there." Miyeon's mother said.
