I had been in Monaco for a few days, the thrill of the Grand Prix surrounding me, but my mind was elsewhere. It was a beautiful day, the sun casting a golden hue over the harbor, but I found myself longing for a different kind of excitement. I was missing Victoria.

Oscar and I were sitting at a café, enjoying a rare moment of downtime after the race. He glanced over at me, raising an eyebrow. "You've been unusually quiet, Sargeant. What's going on in that head of yours?"

I sighed, leaning back in my chair. "Just thinking about Victoria and her competition. I can't shake the feeling that I should be there."

He chuckled, a knowing smile on his face. "You should surprise her. I bet she'd love that."

The thought struck me like lightning. "You really think so?"

"Absolutely. You two have something special, and she's probably been missing you just as much as you've been missing her. Plus, it's not like you have to race for a few days."

"Alright," I said, feeling a surge of determination. "I'll book a flight and head to Denmark. I want to be there for her."

The next morning, I was up before dawn, the thrill of anticipation fueling my actions. I secured a last-minute flight to Copenhagen, the excitement bubbling inside me like a shaken soda can. The flight felt like it took forever, but finally, we landed, and I felt the rush of cold Danish air hit my face as I stepped off the plane.

I rented a car and set off toward the competition venue, my heart racing with every mile. The countryside was beautiful, rolling hills dotted with quaint houses and vibrant fields. I could almost picture Victoria's smile when she saw me.

As I arrived at the venue, I parked and walked toward the arena, feeling the energy of the crowd around me. I could hear the sounds of hoofbeats and cheering in the distance. After checking in and getting my pass, I found a good spot near the edge of the arena, just in time to see Victoria warm up.

Her confidence radiated as she guided her horse through the routine. I watched intently, mesmerized by her focus and skill. Every movement was graceful and powerful, and I couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for her. She was in her element, and it was clear how much this competition meant to her.

When her turn finally arrived, I held my breath, my heart racing as she and her horse entered the arena. The crowd erupted in applause, and I felt a rush of excitement. As she started her routine, I could see the determination in her eyes. It was mesmerizing to witness her passion and dedication.

As the routine came to an end, the crowd erupted in cheers, and I joined in, clapping loudly. Victoria took a moment to soak in the applause, her smile radiant as she caught sight of me in the crowd. Our eyes locked, and I felt a spark of recognition and joy that made the distance between us vanish.

After the competition, I made my way through the throng of excited spectators. I watched as she received congratulations from friends and fellow competitors, her face beaming with pride. When she finally stepped away, I moved closer, unable to contain my excitement any longer.

"Victoria!" I called out, and her head whipped around. For a heartbeat, she looked stunned, and then her face broke into an incredulous smile.

"Logan? You're here!" she exclaimed, rushing toward me, her arms wrapping tightly around my waist. The warmth of her embrace enveloped me, and I sighed contentedly, holding her close.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," I said, pulling back to look into her eyes. "I'm so proud of you. You were incredible out there!"

Her cheeks flushed with joy, and she laughed, a sound that felt like music to my ears. "Thank you! I can't believe you came. I thought I'd be here alone."
