The One with the Party.

Clove believed that one of the most beautiful things she had were her friends. Spending the entire afternoon with them had filled her little heart with joy, even though Glimmer had chased her like crazy to do her makeup. Nothing too dramatic, but she had to admit that Glimmer had a talent for those things. Clove also wore Glimmer's clothes—a black faux leather dress and flat boots.

While humming the song that Katniss (who was singing her heart out) had playing, Glimmer said, "I hope the night feels like a Taylor Swift song." She admitted this with a giant smile painted on her face. "Damn, Finch! You burned my ear with that thing!"

"Sorry!" she screamed. "I'm not used to styling other people."

After about five hours, they finally finished getting ready. Annie, being the good influence she was, had brought two bottles of cherry-flavored vodka in her purse for them to drink before heading to the party. Nervous about her date, which didn't look like a date anymore, Clove didn't hesitate to accept all the drinks Annie offered her. At least this way, her anxiety subsided.

Peeta arrived with Thresh, and they offered their cars to go to Enobaria's place. Katniss and Annie got into Peeta's car, and Clove noticed that Finnick was also there. That smelled like a triple date.

"You look beautiful tonight," Thresh said, looking her up and down. "It's not that you're not beautiful on other days, but today, you've outdone yourself."

Clove laughed as he opened the car door for her, and like the gentleman he was, he opened the door for Finch and Glimmer as well. Thresh's cologne was strong, leaving her dizzy because it smelled incredible. He was wearing black pants, a shirt of the same color buttoned only halfway down his chest, and black boots. He had a thin silver chain hanging from his neck and several rings on his fingers.

Glimmer played lively music as they traveled for less than twenty minutes to Enobaria's place. Laughter and music could be heard from the street. They waited for the rest of the group before walking into the house together. Some guys were smoking on the porch, and it took Clove a few seconds to realize that one of them was Gale. He greeted them cheerfully, but his smile vanished when he saw Thresh.

Once inside the house, it was nearly impossible to walk due to the crowd. Somehow, they made their way to the backyard, where they found Enobaria, Johanna, and Glimmer looking incredibly beautiful as always.

"Drinks are inside," Johanna said. "You can also find some other fun things to do."

She glanced at Peeta and winked before walking away. Katniss didn't seem amused by the comment, as her expression changed dramatically.

"Let's go!" Glimmer shouted. "I need a glass in my hand."

Clove managed to apologize to Thresh seconds before her friend pulled her away from him. They walked through the sweaty bodies and smoke, until they reached the kitchen. Glimmer attracted the attention of all the guys present, and they flocked to her to get her attention. A normal day in her life.

Finch handed Clove a glass, and she emptied it without knowing what it was. It felt spicy in her throat, and in seconds, her cheeks were flushed.

"I finally found you!" Marvel yelled, arriving with a small, dark bottle in hand. "This is crazy; there's, like, too many people."

"Yeah, Marvelin," Glimmer affirmed. "That's how parties work."

He rolled his eyes, took a sip from the bottle, and signaled for them to follow him to avoid getting lost in the crowd. A group of guys tried to flirt with Glimmer, Annie, and Katniss but were blatantly ignored. They finally reached an area with several individual and group sofas around a coffee table filled with glasses and bottles.
