"So, who was your first?" I inquired curiously.
"Faith Cheven, your first body." He answered with a smile as he played with my hair.
"And how was it?"
He chuckled lightly at the question, "Amazing, but how about you? Who was your first?"
"The prince of Lumarine, Derek, he was gentle and great." I replied and I could tell my response made him uncomfortable, but nevertheless, he forced a smile on his lips.
"That's...great." I laughed slightly, giving him a light kiss, relieving his discomfort.
"The ball is tomorrow right?" I inquired and he nodded as he began kissing my neck.
"Yes, we'll leave in the afternoon."
"I can't wait, but I need to talk to you about something," I announced as my mind placed the memories of the supposed wolf attack before me.
"What is it?" Malik questioned me while lowering his kisses to my nipples.
"There was a report of a werewolf attacking a child in Lamonte village near Poaieu Ocean, villagers have also been going missing there." I informed him and he immediately stopped his pleasurable actions to meet my eyes.
"Werewolves don't attack children," Malik stated.
"I know, but a soldier claimed she saw it and she said the werewolf attacked her," I informed him, dragging a frown on his lips which showed how much this information dimmed the bright mood that was once between us.
"She's lying, I don't feel a werewolf's presence in Aropia right now and even if what she was saying was true, werewolves never leave their victims alive and again they don't attack children." He remarked while sitting up and I gave him a nod.
"I know, but there have been a lot of sightings recently and I will have to release a statement soon." I told him and his frown only deepened.
"So you believe them?" He questioned me and I shook my head in protest.
"I didn't say that."
"But you didn't deny it either." He retorted.
"Malik, I don't believe werewolves were behind the attack, but I can't prove that and without proof, my statement will mean nothing to them." I voiced in response to his statement and there was a minute of silence telling me he was thinking deeply about the situation I had just informed him about.
"I think I can help with proving that it wasn't a werewolf, but I need to get near the claimed victim of the attack." He notified me and my brows walked towards each other, silently expressing their shared confusion.
"Why?"
"I can tell who really attacked her by the scent that lingers on her injuries."
"Nina already healed her, she has no injuries," I told him.
"Then Nina will have the scent I'm looking for."
"How?"
"When Alkebulans heal they take the pain of the injured person some even take the cuts and bruises it depends on the severity of the attack." He explained briefly.
"Nina fainted when she healed the woman but the soldier's injuries weren't that bad, at least not compared to other injuries I've seen her heal," I confessed.
"Then I have an idea what really happened." He announced and my brows walked back to each other.
"Which is?" I questioned him.
