Third Person's POV

Maxine stood at the entrance of their old headquarters, arms crossed, scanning the interior of the dusty warehouse.

Kaya napag isipan niyang ipa renovate na yung headquarters nila because this was no longer just a temporary place to stay, it needed to be a place where all eight of them could gather, plan, and work together efficiently.

Maxine turned to Aiesha, who stood beside her, lost in her thoughts.

“I’m thinking of renovating this place,” Maxine said, her voice casual but with a hint of purpose. “We’ll need more rooms and a proper setup if we’re going to continue working together.”

Aiesha looked at her, her eyebrows raised in surprise. “Renovating? Like what exactly?”

“I was thinking of adding rooms for everyone. You know, eight rooms, one for each of us along with some proper living spaces. Maybe a kitchen, a lounge, and a better security system.” She paused, her eyes glinting with something mischievous. “But, for the design and furniture, I want you to handle that.”

Aiesha blinked in surprise. “Me? Why me?”

"You’ve got good taste. Besides, I trust you with this. Make it feel… comfortable. Like something we can all come back to, even when things get tough."

There was a beat of silence before Aiesha nodded, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks. She looked around the headquarters, imagining what it could become. It wasn’t just a hideout anymore, it was starting to feel like a home.

“Alright,” Aiesha agreed, smiling softly. “I’ll take care of it.”

Cole, always the first to pick up on things, leaned toward Skye with a knowing grin.

“Yeah, I didn’t know we were redecorating together. What’s next, matching towels?” banat naman ni skye habang may ngiting mapang asar.

Maxine shot them both a look, but her blush betrayed her. “It’s not like that. Aiesha’s just helping with the design, that’s all.”

Aiesha tried to fight the smile tugging at her lips but failed. “Right. Just helping.”

Yves, ever the calm one, raised an eyebrow at the teasing but didn’t join in. She was more focused on how close Maxine and Aiesha had gotten, alam niyang may nabubuo na sa pagitan nang dalawa at mukhang clueless pa ang mga ito.

Agad na binigyan ni cole ng mapang asar na tingin si maxine."Well, just don’t turn this place into a love nest, alright?”

We still have a lot to figure out, but I’m glad we’re… good.”

On the other side of the room, Skye and Solace were in their usual dynamic bickering over something trivial.

“They need to be at the corners for better coverage, Solace. It’s common sense,” Skye said, clearly exasperated.

Solace crossed her arms. “Akala mo siguro, laging tama yung desisyon mo noh? How about listening to someone else’s opinion for once?”

Skye smirked, leaning closer to Solace. “And who says your opinion is better than mine?”

Solace shot her a glare, but the tension between them was less heated than usual. Skye noticed the slight flush in Solace’s cheeks and smirked even more alam niya kasing naiinis na ang dalaga sa kanya.

“You know,” Skye added in a teasing tone, “you’re cute when you’re mad.”

Solace blinked, caught off guard by the unexpected compliment.

Skye chuckled, enjoying the small victory.

Meanwhile, Gian and Shee sat together quietly, observing everyone. Unlike the others, they weren’t the type to flaunt their relationship, but the subtle glances and soft smiles they shared were enough to make it obvious that there was something deeper between them.

Gian leaned closer to Shee, brushing her hand lightly. “Sa tingin mo mapapansin nila?" she asked quietly, a playful glint in her eyes.

Shee smiled softly, her expression calm. “Maybe, but let’s keep it to ourselves for now. We don’t need the attention.”

Gian nodded, understanding.

As the day went on, Aiesha and Maxine walked through the headquarters, discussing various ideas for the renovation. They spent more time together, deciding on colors, furniture, and how to make the space both functional and comfortable for all of them.

“Do you think it’s weird na pina plano natin to na mag kasama?" Aiesha asked, her voice quieter than before.

Maxine glanced at her, a soft smile tugging at her lips. “Maybe. But I don’t mind. It feels right.”

Aiesha smiled back, feeling a warmth in her chest she hadn’t expected. “Yeah. It does.”

By the end of the day, they had settled on the layout, the furniture, and even small touches like plants and lighting. Maxine had let Aiesha take the lead, trusting her completely, and it hadn’t gone unnoticed by their friends.

As they all stood together, looking at the plans, Cole leaned over to Skye, whispering, “So, Kailan ang kasal?”

Skye chuckled, earning a playful smack from Solace.
