It was just past 1AM on a Thursday night, Lucy and Tim were walking around the streets of LA hand in hand as they had just been to the movies as Lucy came back from UC with frank a few days before.

Tim yawns for the fourth time with in ten minutes "I told you we should have just went today after shift, you're absolutely exhausted from your metro op and by the time we get home we will only have like 5 hours of sleep before shift" Lucy laughs bumping her hip into Tim's.
"I'm fine Luce." He chuckles.

and that's when they heard a scream or a very loud concerning noise..Tim's eyes widened he wasn't very tired anymore.
"Whoaaa what was that?" Lucy panicked standing closer to Tim and looking through a dark alley way.
"I don't know.." Tim says also looking around gripping Lucy's hand tighter.
"maybe we should look.." Lucy suggests and Tim shakes his head.
"As much as I love looking through dark alleyways at 1AM like anyone else but if you go looking for trouble you find it okay?" Tim says to Lucy.

And that's when they heard another scream like sound..they both looked at eachother with wide eyes..
"Should we call it in?" Lucy asks and Tim shakes his head.
"And get laughed at when we find out it's just a cat in heat. No thank you" he laughs shaking his head.
Lucy sighs and looks back at the alley way and raises an eye brow at Tim gesturing if they should look and he murmurs a quick yeah before they both head into the alley.

They slowly walk and look around curiously, and they hear another few noises.
"You go over there, I go over here" Tim suggests and Lucy nods and quickly gives Tim a peck on the lips before they separate their ways.

They both look about for a while, until someone  with a mask punches Tim.
"argh!" He screams
"TIM?" Lucy shouts and runs over.
"TIMM!!" She shouts again.
"ehhh?" He groans.

That's when lucy sees two masked men pointing a gun at Tim's back
"WOAH" she shouts her eyes tearing up.
She pulls out her gun shaking nervously but still trying to keep her guard up.
"Guys put your gun down. We are police officers, you do not want to do this." She snaps sternly, glancing at Tim with feared eyes.

"LUCY LOOK OUT" Tim screams as he sees someone come up behind Lucy to attack her, she falls to the floor in pain and suddenly a gun goes off.
BANG..

The bullet pierced Tim's skin and Tim groans in pain and falls from his knees to the floor and bleeds out.
One of the men comes up to Lucy while she was still laying on the floor, drifting in and out of consciousness.
"Remember this...covered face, shroud of shame, no escape when you're to blame. Cry me a river back to the start, dog deliver a live part" the masked man whispers viciously before walking off.

Lucy finally becomes more aware of her surroundings and looks up to see Tim laying curled on the floor bleeding out and  unconscious , she immediately crawls to Tim in pain
"Tim baby" she groans in pain pulling her self across the pavement, blood dripping down her face.

"Tim babe wake up" she cries shaking him, there wasn't a response. She pulls her phone out her pocket and dials 911.
'911 what's your emergency?'
"Officer down..officer dow..nn" she mumbles breathlessly into the phone before hanging up knowing they will track her location.

She holds Tim's wound to try and apply as much pressure as she can while sobbing in pain and fear for Tim.
"Baby stay with me" she sobs.

"You should be asleep" Bailey says softly to John while she was on a break eating a snack.
"Well I don't eat so well when you work the late shift" John replies and Bailey chuckles
"Right back at you" she laughs.

"But I did need to turn the corner on Simone's garage conversion, so it's for the best"John says sitting at the dining room table looking over a garage plan.
