Chatterbox sits on the side of the bed watching every breath she takes, pushing her hair from her eyes and rubbing his cheek with his thumb. He can't help but wonder what’s going on in that beautiful crazy mind of hers.

Incoming text : Tessa: Hey Chatty, I was just checking in with you to make sure everything is okay. No one has heard from you in a couple of days, and I know Hiccups just got out of the hospital so I wanted to make sure she was alright as well. Call me when you get up.

Deep sighs come from his chest as he stands up, kissing her on the forehead, and walking out onto the balcony closing the doors behind him on his exit so as to not disturb his sleeping queen.

Outgoing Call: Tessa

“Hey Chatty, I’m so sorry I didn’t wake you did I?”

No Tessa I’ve been up for some time trying to figure out what to do?

“Figure out what to do about, what Chatty? What happened?”

Nothing Happened Tessa, or everything happened all at once. I’m so yuckin’ confused.

“Well, walk me through it, Chatty.”

I don’t yuckin’ know Tessa. I know you already know that cups came home from the hospital.

“Yeah, I do know that much, yes. Well I knew Ray Mond did, what happened with that?”

Well, I took her down to the mines, because that’s one of the places that we’d been together before that I thought would “Jog” her memory of who the yuck I was, and it worked. I almost yuckin’ died in the process, but it worked.

“What do you mean you almost died?!”

Well, she made the comment that either she was in love or she was just that good at her job, of infiltrating the clowns from the inside out, and faking that she loved me. So I handed her a gun and told her to prove how good she was, and luckily she didn’t shoot me.

“Chatty, that's reckless behavior! I’m certain now you love her, and you were trying to do anything you could to make sure that she knew that you loved her.”

Mhmm. I had no yuckin’ other choice! Some things are still not right though..

“What do you mean?”

After she threw the gun she left me in the mine shaft, and came out to the open, I heard someone screaming. I came out to see Ra-Cups, whoever the yuck she is, on her knees, screaming at “each other” I guess. It was so yuckin’ weird, and well. I ran over to her, she handed me a notebook where she had read my little letter I wrote her, and then had responded with her own. Which I read, and then asked Ray if she was okay. She responded with Chatty, it’s Cups.

“Well, that’s a good thing right?”

I thought so, but now I’m honestly not sure. She keeps referring to her yuckin’ self like she’s watching herself from a distance or some yuck, I don’t know what the yuck is happening. It’s so yucking frustrating Tessa. All I want to yuckin’ do is hold her, and love her, but I want it to actually be here. What do I yuckin’ do here?

Waiting for her response he turns to stare at her through the window which he had walked around to at the side of the funhouse. Feelings of wanting to protect her raced through his mind, but he couldn’t protect from something he wasn’t aware of. He had to figure out what was happening, and he was so hoping that Tessa could help with that.

“Chatty, I honestly don’t know. I think we should simply continue to watch her, and make sure that she’s alright and doesn’t harm herself, but we are not going to be the ones able to “Fix” her.”

I know Tessa, I had that yuckin’ thought too. I’m just lost without her, and I don’t want to lose her again.

“I know, Chatty. I’m sorry. I really wish I could make it all better for you. You know I don’t like to see you hurt or upset.”

I know. She told me she loved me so there’s that!

“Yeah? She did!? I’m so happy for you Chatty. I had no doubt that she did!”

Well Tessa I guess I’ll take your advice and we will just see how things go.

“Alright Chatty that sounds good, but you let me know if you need me alright?”

Not a yuckin’ problem.

Hanging up the phone he walks back into the patio doors and steps into the bathroom. He splashes cold water on his face trying to get his feelings completely together before she wakes up.

I don’t know what’s yuckin’ wrong with me. I’ve never yuckin’ felt like this before. I am so attached to her, and that scares me a whole yuckin’ lot because that fear of what if she goes away still exists fully in my mind even if she tells me she isn’t going to go anywhere!

I…I have to make sure she knows I want to spend forever with her…NOT so she won’t leave, but so she can know I’m really yuckin’ serious, and maybe “Ray Mond” Will see that too!

Chatterbox sits on the side of the bathtub, his hands in his hands. Realizing he didn’t have his mask on, and fully not remembering when he took it off.
He’s suddenly startled when the bathroom light flips on. “What the yuck!?”

Sleepy eyed Ray peeps around the doorway, “Hi, Chatty. I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were in here, need me to go downstairs?”

“No, no, no, no, no, no Cups, you come in here. I was just, yuck I dunno what the yuck I was doing. Just yuckin’ thinkin’ I guess.”

“In the dark?”

He smiles as he stands allowing her to push past him at the sink, and exiting the door to allow her to have her privacy.

“Whatcha mean Cups? I do my best thinking in the yuckin’ dark…”

Chills run down his spine as that sentence rolls off his tongue thinking of all the time spent in the basement as a child and suddenly it was no surprise why he always chose the darkness. Almost slipping into the dark space that he’s hated and wondering what has kept him from those dark feelings.

“You okay Chatty?”

He smiles at the light looking down at him, knowing it was her, her light feels all of the dark corners and vanishes the shadows trying their hardest to pull him under.

She truly is his light. The light he wanted to shine in his life forever.
Grabbing her hand grazing with his thumb, and placing a kiss on it ever so slightly.

“I’m good Cups. Good Morning. How are you?!”

“I’m good Chatty, I slept really well. What were you deeply thinking about in the dark Chatty?”

“Nothing, Cups..”

“No, tell me!”

“Thinking about the future, my love.”

“Oh yeah? Am I in your future Chatty?”
