I woke up to an alarm ringing, I groaned and rolled over to shut it off. One thing was clear: I did not want to go to school. Ryder rolled over and wrapped his arms around my waist, "Time to get up to get ready for school." He said

"Do we have to go? I mean can't we stay here all day and enjoy each other's company?" I asked

He sighed, "You really don't wanna go?" He questioned, "But what about that test in Chemistry?"

"I'll make it up."

He let go of me and rolled back over, "Okay sure." He mumbled half awake

I smiled, wonderful.

I sighed and laid on my back. I shut my eyes awaiting sleep. Just as I was about to fall asleep my phone started ringing, I picked my phone up from the nightstand and stared at the caller ID. It was Alla. "Ugh."

I pressed the call button, "What do you want, woman?"

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever! Come over. We can have a girls' day."

"Babe I love you but I'm at Ryder's house right now. We are supposed to send the day together."

"Oh screw that come over. Please? Pretty please? I'll love you forever!" She begged

"Dude I just saw you on the camping trip."

"But that was days ago! Please come over. I need some serious girl time."

"Fine, give me a second to get dressed, meet me outside in 20. You have my location so find me."

"Will do! See you soon!" She said before hanging up

I pulled on some clean clothes and opened the door, "Babe?" Ryder called

I turned around to find him sitting up, "Good morning." I said

"Are you leaving?"

"Um yeah..."

"Oh."

"Alla sorta needs me sorry."

"No it's all good I'll come by your house later if that's okay?"

I nodded, "Yeah I'd like that."

I got closer as he yawned, I caught a whiff of his morning breath, I covered my nose, "And maybe eat some toothpaste."

He covered his mouth, "Sorry."

I kissed him quickly, then grabbed my bags, "I love you."

"Love you too."

I left his room, shutting the door quietly behind me. As I made my way downstairs, I noticed Ryder's mother sitting at the kitchen table, sniffling.

I placed my hand on her shoulder, startling her, "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. Are you okay?"

"I'm okay, just have a little cold."

"Do you need anything? I could pick up some cold medicine if you want."

"You'd do that?"

"Yeah, of course Ryders family is my family. Whatever you need."

"Well some soup would be nice. And maybe some of that cold medicine you offered."

"Of course I can pick those up for you. You hang tight."

"Thank you Tess."

"No problem really."

I got a text from Alla saying she was waiting outside. "I'll be back with everything."

"Sure, sure."

I walked outside and got into the car. "Can we make a few stops and after far come back here to drop the stuff I get off?"
