With a face like a brewing storm, Arohi marched into the Agnivanshi Headquarter, Bigger than Biggest, Buzzing busy as her heels clacking against the pristine marble floors with such force that the sound echoed down the hallway. The receptionist, who had been peacefully typing away, shot up from her chair. "Hey! Miss, you can't just-"
Arohi raised her hand without breaking her stride, not even sparing the woman a glance. Her eyes were locked straight ahead, her determination palpable as she made her way toward Ayan's office.
Just as she rounded the corner, she slammed right into Abhi, who was casually sipping his coffee. The sudden collision almost sent the cup flying.
"Ah-Arohi?" Abhi spluttered, blinking in surprise. "Didn't expect you to Take the offer-"
"Where's Ayan?" Arohi cut him off with such sharpness that he could Already Sense the Storm,
He stammered, "Uhh, Ayan? he probably in a meeting, but-" His eyes darted from side to side, Hoping she might understand and Do not interrupt, But Instead.
"Thanks," Arohi interrupted again, not waiting for him to finish. She spun on her heel, leaving a baffled Abhi standing in the hallway with his half-spilled coffee.
Before Abhi could even process what had just happened, Arohi was already halfway down the hall, eyes laser-focused on finding Ayan's meeting room. The poor office assistant barely had time to look up from her desk before Arohi charged past her as well.
"Miss, you can't go in-"
Too late. Arohi shoved the door open with more force than necessary, leaving everyone in the room wide-eyed and confused.
The door to the conference room loomed ahead, and without a second thought, Arohi slammed it open with such force that the entire room seemed to jump. Inside, startled faces stared back at her, their surprise quickly morphing into discomfort. Who would dare to barge into Ayan's meeting like this? A couple of attendees swiftly averted their gazes, pretending not to have witnessed the audacious entrance.
At the long conference table, two women and several men sat frozen, their wide eyes fixated on Arohi as though she were an intruder. The air grew thick with tension as her eyes zeroed in on Ayan, who was standing in the middle of the room, pacing with his hand pressed against his forehead as if nursing a headache.
Without missing a beat, Arohi marched to the table's edge and slammed her hands down, the sharp echo reverberating across the room. Ayan barely flinched, his eyes lifting slowly from the stack of papers in front of him. He met her glare with an unimpressed stare, as if this kind of outburst had become expected from her.
"AYAN!" she barked, her voice slicing through the room like a blade. The murmurs began almost immediately, eyes flicking nervously between her and Ayan.
Ayan sighed deeply, leaning back in his chair. His fingers tapped irritably against the file in front of him. "WHAT NOW?" he replied, his tone thick with exasperation.
"Oh, don't act like you don't know, Ayan!" Arohi snapped, her voice dripping with anger. "You really think you can get away with this? Have you completely lost your mind? Matlab, I didn't expect you to go so low, but this time You crossed you lines"
Ayan raised an eyebrow, clearly annoyed and confused. "I guess you need to see a therapist. You're always dumping your life's problems on me like I'm your personal punching bag-"
"Shut-"
"YOU shut up!" he fired back, his patience wearing thin. He sat up straighter, rolling his eyes. "You're seriously losing it, Arohi. I thought I was doing you a favor, but no, here you are, making a scene. Drama queen," he muttered, rubbing his temples.
