The man who had never stepped foot in a jewelry store suddenly blessed it with his presence. The manager, caught off guard, hurried to bow and welcome him.
"How can I help you, sir?" he asked, one hand on his chest while the other gestured for a staff member to bring water.
Ayan sat down, exuding confidence, his fingers tapping lightly against the armrest.
"What would you like, sir?" the manager inquired.
Without hesitation, Ayan pulled out a delicate earring and placed it on the table with precision. "Make me an exact replica of this," he instructed.
The manager picked it up, examining it with a puzzled expression. "But sir, you can find pieces like this easily... in the market—" His words trailed off as he met Ayan's cold glare.
"Just do as I say," Ayan's voice was firm. "Make it with the most special ruby we have."
The manager swallowed and bowed in compliance.
Meanwhile, a couple of female staff members exchanged hushed whispers.
"He has a girlfriend?" one asked, eyes widening in curiosity.
"Mujhe kya pata," the other shrugged. "But whoever she is... she's one lucky girl."
The manager quickly nodded, signaling his best jeweler to take the piece for examination. Meanwhile, Ayan leaned back, running a hand through his hair, his mind wandering to a certain someone.
The female staff continued whispering, curiosity burning in their eyes.
"Whoever she is, she must be special," one of them murmured.
"Special enough for him to step into a store like this," another added, watching as Ayan checked his watch, clearly impatient.
His gaze flickered toward them momentarily, and they instantly straightened up, returning to their work.
"Sir, it'll take a few hours to craft the exact replica," the manager informed.
Ayan exhaled sharply. "Make it perfect."
With that, he got up and walked out, leaving the staff behind, still whispering about the girl who had managed to make Ayan Agnivanshi personally order a custom piece of jewelry.

Now Ayan's mood had already soured long before he entered the office.
The encrypted message had come just as he stepped out of the jeweler's—
"Mission Delphinus compromised. Timeline pushed. Estimated setback: $760M."
He didn't blink. Just clenched his jaw.
Delphinus wasn't some small covert op; it was a legacy operation—intertwined with international trade routes, offshore holdings, and political leverage that took years to build. One crack in the foundation meant losing more than just money. It meant losing trust, power, control.
By the time he reached his office, the day had already gone to hell.
He tossed his coat onto the chair, poured himself a glass of neat whiskey before it was even noon, and sat with his fingers steepled over his lips, staring at the screen that showed charts, numbers, chaos.
His head was buzzing,
He wasn't thinking.
He was feeling.
And that pissed him off even more.
The earring still lay in a velvet box on the side of his table.
With a low groan of frustration, he stood up.
No one asked where he was going. No one dared. Abhi just watched Him from side eyes and Malika Pout and Throw her head back. "We must leave him alone for now"
