Chapter 11: I Missed This... I Miss Us

When they say that they are going to film, they don't think that they get Hyunjin and Minho and dress them up as ladies as part of their roleplay. Jisung clearly didn't believe that this would affect him so much, especially when he heard that Hyunjin was going to be his pretend wife.

It's like it's calling him out that their relationship is so obvious that they have to pair him and Hyunjin without any reason. He doesn't mind though, not at all.

Well, that's what he thought anyway.

When Hyunjin came out wearing a wig and looking so beautiful he didn't realize that Minho was already making his way towards him. He rips his gaze away to look at Minho's knowing smile.

"How do you like it?" Minho teases.

"Shut up." Jisung whines, his ears and neck turning red in embarrassment. He's definitely sure that Minho knows that something's up with him ever since he and Hyunjin made up with each other.

"You like mine or..." He lightly slaps Minho in the chest, telling him to shut up once more before Minho relents.

Hyunjin clearly was a bit upset? Or maybe irritated. Or you know, a much better word for it is jealous. He's supposed to be the wife!

You clearly like that.

He beelines to Jisung, sitting beside him and patting his head. Minho smiles at them again before he focuses on Seungmin. Jisung pries his hand away from his face after hiding from his flustered state.

"Hyunjin-ah." Jisung takes a deep breath, "You look cute." Hyunjin laughs at that.

"Do I now? Just cute?" He teases, Jisung rolls his eyes but there's still a smile playing on his lips. "So, how do we do this husband?"

Jisung snickers, putting out a hand for Hyunjin to take. "Let's just go with the flow, should we wife?" Hyunjin reddens slightly, taking Jisung's hand as they intertwine their fingers together and then they just hold hands.

He can't lie and say that he doesn't miss this. Fuck, just the slightest touch from Hyunjin was enough to crave the desire to pull Hyunjin into a deep kiss, But he can't, not after the guilt that is tugging on him after what had happened between them

And if that wasn't enough for Jisung to suffer, it definitely did when they finally got to start the shoot with their roleplay. Being close to Hyunjin, having his hands on his waist, and getting to stare at Hyunjin without getting suspicious was enough for him.

They were taking a break for a little while, Hyunjin and Jisung happened to sit on the same couch with their costumes still intact.

"Did you tell hyung?" The other members were out of earshot for them to eavesdrop on their conversation. "About us being exes?"

"Is this about the other day?" Hyunjin nods in reply. "I didn't. I was also surprised when he said that. But, I don't believe he's onto us." He sighs heavily. Hyunjin contemplates for a bit before he leans his head on Jisung's shoulder.

He tenses before relaxing as Hyunjin's warmth envelops him. "I'm scared that what if they find out?" Jisung takes one of Hyunjin's hands, playing with his fingers. "I know that they won't react much but will they accept it?"

"Of course they will." Jisung murmurs. "It's them that we are talking about. Felix literally already has a scenario in mind, he might start making fan fiction about us or something..." Hyunjin laughs and a few seconds later, Jisung joins in.

They settle for a little bit before Hyunjin speaks up again. "I miss this." Jisung sat in silence, knowing what he meant by those words but couldn't get to say anything. They broke up for a reason. They fought for a reason. Who is he to be selfish to say that he also misses this? After what he had done to Hyunjin. Who is he to say that he misses Hyunjin so much more?

Jisung realizes that he has fallen badly, his feelings starting to stir some more as he looks at Hyunjin by the corner of his eyes. He misses Hyunjin.

He misses the way that Hyunjin looks at him with so much fondness and love because he can't suppress his emotions when it comes to Jisung. He misses the way that Hyunjin melts upon his touch as they cuddle to watch their favorite movie of all time or when they get to have a movie marathon and roast the hell out of the cringe romantic movies.

He misses Hyunjin. The Hyunjin that used to be his.

Jisung hesitantly reached out to run his fingers through Hyunjin's hair, scared that he might suddenly flinch away or reject. Hyunjin hums, cuddling even more to Jisung, and that only made his heart yearn for him.

Hyunjin. Hyunjin. I still love you. His mind couldn't help but call out, shout it in his brain as if his heart wasn't a hint anymore to what he was feeling.

"Hyunjin... I-" Their manager calls out that they will resume now, cutting off whatever Jisung will say. Hyunjin groans and drags himself to stand up, he stretches and lets the make-up artist get near him to retouch his make-up.

Jisung swallowed whatever he was going to say, feeling more pathetic.

I love you.

God, he is so doomed.

When the shoot finally finished, he was already by Hyunjin's side because there was something that he noticed when he looked over at Hyunjin earlier. He seemed upset or was he imagining things? He thinks back to what he had done but he could only recall complimenting Minho and all that...

Was he jealous? There is no way...right? He looks over at Hyunjin and he seems to be so deep in thought that he doesn't feel Jisung sliding up next to him. He coughs slightly to get his attention but that doesn't seem to work.

"Hyunjin?" With a tap on his shoulder, he gets Hyunjin's attention. "You good?" Hyunjin smiled a little and nodded his head.

"Just a bit tired." Jisung skims his face before he takes to hold Hyunjin's hand.

"Want to rest for a bit? Everyone's still packing up." Hyunjin seems to hesitate, already sensing the difference in his behavior from earlier, he pulls Hyunjin and lets him lay his head on his lap. "Take a nap." He pats Hyunjin's cheek, relishing at the blush that comes up.

He takes out his phone and tries to not focus that Hyunjin is so near him. He wonders if Hyunjin would feel the same if he ever got to blurt out those words again.

"Sung?" He looks at Hyunjin. "Thank you." Jisung opens his mouth and then closes them, not knowing what to say.

"...For what?"

"For letting me feel comfortable again with you. I hated it when we were fighting and that you seemed... Unreachable."

"I'm sorry." Jisung mumbles, "It seems silly now but I hated seeing you so... closed off too."

"It's okay," Hyunjin mumbles back, hesitantly reaching his hand and taking it back before he could touch Jisung. "It's okay..." He falls asleep with that, leaving Jisung crowded with thoughts full of what-ifs.
