A/N Sorry for the mini hiatus between the chapter before last and last chapter. I know it was only a few days, but it bothered me none the less, so I apologize. Thank you all again for all the support. Feel free to leave comments if you have ideas for where you want the story to go. I've got a good idea for where I'm taking it, so I probably won't include every single idea, but as an avid D&D player, I'm sure I can incorporate the ideas fairly seamlessly. The first person to tell me the two references to other book series in the last chapter gets a shout-out. Shout to Poseidons_cat for getting the first one. Anyways, love yall. Enjoy.

Percy

I hated blacking out. I hated blacking out even more when there's dozens of monsters and Titans surrounding me, with plans to kill me. Whoever decided that of all people, it was ME who had to be the world saving demigod, I was going to throw hands with them when I found them.

Of course, all these thoughts occurred to me numbly, thanks to the unimaginable pain I was in. My whole body was on fire, and it felt similar to how I had felt when I became an Immortal, and my ichor literally BURNED the mortal blood out of my body. Nevertheless, between my dip in the Styx, turning into an immortal, and now this, my brain had decided it could only process so much pain at once so it just decided to stop processing it entirely.

I was aware of the pain, yes, scorching pain that made every muscle in my body cramp and tighten all at once, but I could not feel it, per say.

And so, I played there and waited to awaken, hoping I did, in fact, awaken before I died a gruesome death. When feeling did start to come back to me, along with my other 4 senses, I became dimly aware that I was being carried. I looked down and noticed it was Koios who was carrying me, slung over his shoulder. My heart leaped to my throat when I didn't recognize my surroundings, but thankfully, Koios didn't seem to notice me waking up. He was walking at the back of the group, and as such, I couldn't see who he was talking to.

"-telling you, he's not going to wake up! That amount of power going into his body, even as an immortal, surely his brain was turned into soup. Well, we just have to have Little Brother repair him when we reach the castle." Koios was saying. There was an impatient sigh before another, oddly familiar voice responded.

"You don't know this particular Immortal like I do. As much sense as it makes that he should have died, we should at least take the precaution of chaining him so if he awakens, he does not kill us." Panic seared through me like a wildfire as I felt Koios stop and shift my weight on his shoulder.

"Fine, I'll chain him up, you big ba-" I didn't let him finish. There was no water around me, none that I could sense, but I could feel a flame burning inside me, so I reached for it. I flipped and locked Koios in a headlock before he could react and let the flames explode out of me like a bomb. The heat was intense, even for me, but I was unharmed. Koios, on the other hand, he didn't even let out a sound.

I held the intensity of my supernova for a full 5 seconds before I had to stop, stumbling away from the charred remains of the Titan.

The Titan remained still, not moving an inch before he crumpled to his knees before falling face first into the dirt. As his front landed on the ground, his chest and head caved into nothing more than piles of ash.

Krios screamed in rage at the sight of his now dead brother and charged me recklessly. I deftly dodged out of the way of his charge, and as he swung around, a giant spear appearing in his hands, he pointed it at me and blasted me with a beam of pure energy

I cried out as the beam hit my chest and sent me flipping into the space behind me. I heard his heavy foot falls as he sprinted towards me, and I scrambled out of the way as the ground where my chest had been merely a second ago was aggressively stabbed with the spear head. I shot to my feet, and anger surged through me.

Annabeth flashed before my eyes and filled me with a renewed vigor I pointed both my palms at the now rooted Titan and his eyes widened  before he summoned a shield from thin air, a beariful bronze shield embroidered with the horns of a ram, much like his helmet. The shield, however, was promptly blasted by brilliant blue fire.

I held up the intensity of my flamethrower, but I was still new. My co centrarion was wavering. Suddenly, an image of Artemis flashed before my eyes. Her yellow silver irises, looking at me, that knowing smirk on her face, and my fire strengthened.

When the flames finally guttered out, Krios slowly moved his now melted shield from in front of him, throwing it to the ground. I raised an eyebrow, sweat pouring down my face from the heat of my flames. He took a step forward, opening his mouth to speak, but I didn't let him. No villain monologuing on my watch.

My arms still raised, and as his mouth opened, I blasted him again, full in the face. This time, he had no shield, and he caught my raw unfiltered flames unprotected. He screamed in agony, but the scream didn't last long before the sound of something heavy hitting the ground filled my ears, and I stopped the flames once more.

Krios lay on his back, his face charred beyond recognition, his constellation covered chest piece melted to his chest. I walked towards him carefully, pulling his spear from the ground as I approached. His breathing came in ragged grunts. His eyes, er rather, eye, focused on me in its empty socket, the other eye no more than a melted pool of goo. His face was a horror show of charred skin and melted features. He looked like, well, a burn victim.

He had no eyelids, so his eyes stared at me unblinking. I raised his spear over him and plunged it through his face without remorse.

The Titan dissolved into a soft blue sand that looked similar to the way Hyperions body had done. Instead of shooting into me, however, it merely was absorbed into the spear that began to hum with power. I closed my eyes and let the warm rush of power blow through me. I looked at the spear, and a sudden urge filled me. I pulled Riptide from my pocket and uncapped it, letting it turn into a bronze sword. I stared at the spear and concentrated, and slowly but surely, from the end of the shaft all the way to the tip, it dissolved into the same blue sand as before.

This time, however, the sand wrapped around Riptide and sank into it. The sword hummed with the same power the spear had, but it now resonated at a frequency that felt more right. More divine. I was no expert, but I believe I had just made Riptide my sacred weapon.

I smirked and twirled the blade around, a cyclone of blue fire trailing the edge of the blade filling me with a satisfaction. I did a few more twists and moves, but it wasn't until I practiced a forward kicking slash did I finally notice the cuff of my right leg had burned away, and etched into my muscled calf was a brand that wasn't there before. Jason's brand. My friend had died.
