Juniper sat across from her manager, Hayley, in a chic New York café. The last few days had been a whirlwind since she and Jack returned from their romantic getaway in Paris. It had been perfect—more than perfect—but now it was time to get back to work. Juniper had always been someone who threw herself into her music, and Hayley had a way of bringing her back to reality just when it was needed.

"So, I was thinking," Hayley said, sipping her iced coffee and tapping her fingers on the table. "You know how successful your Christmas song was last year?"

Juniper raised an eyebrow, a small smile tugging at her lips. "'Buy me presents?' Yeah, I remember. It was fun to do."

"Well, it was more than fun—it was a hit! It charted in the top ten for the entire holiday season. I think we should capitalize on that momentum this year and do another Christmas single."

Juniper leaned back in her chair, considering it. She had been wrapped up in everything with Jack and the Paris trip, so the idea of diving into another song, especially one for the holidays, hadn't even crossed her mind. But Hayley wasn't wrong. Her Christmas track last year had been an unexpected success, and doing another one could be fun—and lucrative.

"Okay," Juniper said, nodding. "I'm in. Any ideas for a theme?"

"I knew you'd agree," Hayley said with a grin. "I've already talked to Jack Antonoff, and he's down to produce it again. He's loved working with you on the album. Plus, I think the fans would love something upbeat, a little nostalgic but modern, with that cosy Christmas vibe. Something that feels romantic, too—given everything going on with your personal life."

Juniper's heart skipped at the mention of romance. The trip to Paris had brought her and Jack closer than ever, but there was still a part of her that felt a little guarded, like she was balancing two worlds—one where she was madly in love with Jack, and another where she was a public figure navigating a career that could sometimes complicate things.

She pushed that thought away and focused on the task at hand. "I like it. I'll start writing. I've already got a few ideas floating around."

Hayley smiled, clearly pleased with Juniper's enthusiasm. "Perfect. Once you've got the song down, we'll head into the studio with Jack Antonoff. He's free next week."

Juniper nodded, her mind already swirling with possible melodies and lyrics. Christmas songs were tricky—they had to feel timeless but fresh at the same time. She was up for the challenge, though. She always was.

"Oh, and one more thing," Hayley added, her tone shifting slightly.

Juniper glanced up, sensing there was more. "What's that?"

"I've been in touch with Rebekah Campbell about directing the music video. She has this concept that I think is brilliant. Very winter wonderland, a bit of a dreamy romance kind of vibe."

Juniper smiled. "Sounds great. I love her work."

"And," Hayley continued, leaning forward conspiratorially, "we've been emailing with the agent for Vinnie Hacker."

Juniper's eyebrows shot up. "Vinnie? Like, the TikTok star and model?"

"The very one," Hayley confirmed. "He's got this natural charm, and his fan base is huge, especially right now. Plus, let's be honest—he's got the look. He'd fit perfectly into the concept we're going for, kind of like this flirty, mysterious love interest in the video. The chemistry would need to be there, though."
