It had been a couple of weeks since the unforgettable night of the Met Gala, but Juniper was already deep into rehearsals for her upcoming performances on the Eras Tour.

The excitement of walking the red carpet in the most glamorous outfits with Jack by her side still lingered. But now, the reality of performing in front of tens of thousands of fans had fully settled in.

Edinburgh, the first show of the leg, was less than a month away, and the countdown was creeping up faster than Juniper had anticipated.

Rehearsals were grueling but necessary. Day after day, she would show up at the studio, her mind hyper-focused on every beat, every step, and every note. The pressure was immense. This was the biggest tour of her career so far—performing alongside Taylor Swift in sold-out stadiums. She knew she had to be at her absolute best, but the long hours were beginning to take their toll. Between the meticulous stage preparations, vocal training, and endless choreography revisions, Juniper was barely getting any time to breathe.

Jack had noticed it immediately.

He had always been attuned to her moods, and lately, she had been quiet, more lost in her thoughts than usual. He knew that when Juniper felt overwhelmed, she often kept it to herself, determined to push through. But that's when she needed him the most—to remind her to slow down, to rest. After all, he had been there before, watching her burn herself out during Coachella rehearsals and endless album preparation.

That evening, after Juniper finally finished another marathon of a rehearsal, Jack arrived at her apartment with Chinese takeout and a bouquet of tulips in hand from her favourite florists. As she opened the door, the exhaustion was written all over her face, but she smiled the moment she saw him, her eyes lighting up.

"You seem like you need a break," Jack said, pulling her into a warm embrace. "I come bearing gifts," he added with a playful grin, holding up the bag of her favorite food and the bouquet.

She laughed softly, leaning into his arms. "You know me all too well," Jack passed her the tulips. "They're beautiful, thank you."

They settled on the couch together, Juniper tucking her legs underneath her as Jack opened up the containers. As they ate, Jack couldn't help but notice how quiet she was, her mind clearly elsewhere.

"Hey," he said, gently placing his hand on hers. "You've been working so hard lately. I know you're excited, but you don't have to carry all of this on your own."

Juniper looked at him, her eyes softening at his concern. "I know," she admitted, "I just want everything to be perfect. This is... the biggest thing I've ever done."

"And it will be perfect," Jack reassured her. "But you've got to take care of yourself too. You've been running on coffee and power naps, it's not good for you babe."

She sighed, nodding slightly. "You're right. It's just a lot, you know? The pressure is... overwhelming to say the least."

Jack pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

"That's why I'm here. To keep you from spiraling into perfectionism," he teased, kissing the top of her head. "I won't let you burn yourself out."

Juniper smiled, feeling the tension in her body slowly ease into nothingness. Jack had always known how to keep her grounded, especially in moments like this when the weight of her career and life felt too heavy. She rested her head on his shoulder, grateful for his steady presence.
