Kendra chewed on her bottom lip. Her pen tapping against her desk. She could see London's empty desk and it sent a chill through her. Kendra looked at the tv in the corner. She had watched it faithfully every day this week.
As the news flashed on her screen a smirk formed on her face. "Thank God they got that asshole." She mumbled under her breathe as a picture of Willy appeared on the screen. Kendra had made sure she ran to the police with her last text with London.
She had told her that her man was going to be dropping her off. Kendra knew that her being close to her building manager would come in handy. She hated that it had to be this way, but Kendra had basically solved London's murder for the cops.
To see they had finally validated all of her information made her feel like she was floating. Kendra bit her bottom lip. She couldn't help but think of Will. He had been coming around to see her for any small detail.
She still hadn't shared who her sister was pregnant by. Kendra was trying to wrap her head around it still. She was trying to take in Gloria's advice. The woman was so calm while everyone else looked like they wanted to kill her.
Kendra wished she could speak with Gloria. She seemed like a caring wise older woman. A sigh slipped between her lips as two knocks on her door caught her attention. Will pushed his hands into his pockets.
"Good morning Ms. Moore. You have a minute?"
"Sure." Kendra rose to her feet. She didn't want to seem so anxious for their quick moment together. But she couldn't wait to feel his lips against hers. She left out of the office following behind him.
"Congratulations Kendra." Her boss spoke making her look at with her eyebrow raised. But she continued forward. Once she was on the elevator with Will her mind was racing.
"Why'd she congratulate me?" She asked him as he got the key into its slot.
"I would like to make a new offer to you. One that you can't refuse." He smiled. Kendra bit her bottom lip.
"If you're going to offer me more money Mr. Matthew's, I'm afraid that won't help."
"I understand." He looked away from her and hit the button that took them straight to his office. Kendra chewed on her bottom lip feeling a tension fill the small space. As it settled knots tightened her stomach.
They stepped off of the elevator and the board with AOD was gone. There was a new picture at the top of the board. Kendra frowned as she stayed in her spot on the elevator. Will snatched her arm pulling her off the elevator.
"You're hurting me."
"Your lucky I haven't killed your stupid ass." Will snapped as he pushed her into a chair. Kendra went to stand up and he leaned forward. "Why the fuck did you have her set up to be killed!?"
