Chapter 5 |Newborn|

//Sabrina//

We rush to the scene to find his body still laying there. His body is shaking and he looks like he's in pain...I know how he's feeling.

"I would try to suck the venom out but its been long enough, it's pumping through his veins"

"Help" he screams out

I see the bite mark on his neck and I turn to Rowan

"What happened"

"I-We were arguing and he kept calling me all these names and...I just...I got so angry and I couldn't control myself" she cried "why'd I do this"

"Its gonna be alright Rowan" Hailee says trying calm Rowan

"You're gonna be okay Collin" I say

Collin is Rowan's best guy friend. They grew up together and they're close, that's what she told me.

"Collin" I whisper slightly shaking him "calm down please"

His body stops shaking and he's still for a few moments.

His eyes open and he cautiously stands

"What...what did you do to me" he slowly asks Rowan

She opens her mouth but nothing comes out.

"You'll be okay Collin" I say

"Why is my throat burning so bad"

"Let's get you to Mr Greene"

//Hailee//

"She deserves punishment. She knows the rules" Mr Greene says "Henry can you go get miss Blancha-"

"No" I cut him off "cut her some slack...she has cravings like everyone else. She lost her temper...it was a mistake"

He stares at me "Hailee"

"Mr Greene please...don't do this to her"

"What will we do with the boy"

"The same thing you did with Sabrina. Explain it to him"

"Sabrina was a different story" he defended

"Please"

"Fine...bring him in"

I walk out to where Collin was and grabbed his hand "follow me"

"I saved your butt Blanchard" I say walking out of Mr Greene's office

"Thank you so much Hailee. Gosh you don't know how much I love you" she says wrapping her arms around me

I hug her back then pull away "yeah yeah now go and talk to Collin"

She nods

//Rowan//

"Hey..' I slowly walk up to Collin

"Its okay" he says looking down

"I ruined your life"

"Actually...you saved my life. I was saying all those means things because I didn't care. I didn't care about anything...I was actually going home to.....never mind "

"Collin were you gonna ..."

"Yeah. I didn't know what to do. Things have been so rough at school and at home"

He shows me his wrists "this was my escape"

I examine his arms and then I pull up my sleeve "you're not alone"

His eyes widen and he looks up at me. "Rowan why didn't you tell me"

"I don't do it anymore" I whisper "but I think about it. But I have people to help me get through it. If I knew you were hurting I would've helped you"

"Well I'm okay right now. Its weird to say but...thank you for what you did. I'd probably be dead or in the hospital right now"

"And I'd be bawling my eyes out" I giggle "don't ever try to kill yourself okay...never"

"Never" he smiles at me

I hug him and peck his cheek "you need to feed"

"I need to what" he says

I giggle "come on"

//Sabrina//

"I'm home" I yell

"Its late" Sarah appears in front of me
"Oh look. Its mom again" I sarcastically with a giggle

"You think you're pretty smooth don't you" she asks

"What?"

"You can't just skip school Sabrina."

"H-how do you know about that"

"They called and said you weren't in all of your classes today and you weren't checked out"

"Do mom and dad know"

"No. I answered the phone and pretended to be mom. Sabrina I can't keep saving you, I wont always be here to keep you from getting caught"

"I know. I'm sorry" I say softly

"Sorry won't always cut it" she gets a bit louder

I want to try something....

I put my hand on her shoulder and she she instantly calms down and relaxes.

"What did you just do" she asks

"I think it's time to tell you where I was for a year"

Ew I hated this chapter. Collin will be around for a while.
