"Who did this to you?" Anna's face was full of concern.

Ody lowered his gaze and turned his head away. "No one... It's nothing"

"How can you say that? It's bruising!" she reached out to touch it again for a better look, but he moved away into the living room.

"It's really not a big deal"

"Are you kidding me, Odysseus?" Her voice was calm but anxious. "Who hit you?"

He sighed, knowing he couldn't keep the truth from her. "Some guys at college"

Her eyes widened in shock. "Why?!"

"It's nothing, really. Forget it"

"Ody, who hit you? And why?"

He turned to look at her as she walked over to the couch, sitting down beside him while he gently stroked her hands.

"Baby, relax. It doesn't even hurt, honestly"

"That's not the point! Tell me who hit you and why!"

He sighed and looked straight ahead, offering no response.

"Has this happened before?!" her eyes were wide with shock.

"No" he glanced at her, but she didn't seem convinced. "Baby, no. I'm serious"

"Then tell me what happened! Did you get into a fight with them? You never fight with anyone. How did this happen?" she anxiously eyed the swelling on his cheek.

"Calm down" he took her hands, looking into her eyes. "It's just one of those guys, you know... the tough guys"

"Have they messed with you before?"

"No"

"So they just saw you today and decided to hit you?" she didn't seem convinced.

"He's in my class. Come on, just forget it. It's nothing" he reassured her, but she still looked worried and upset.

"Come on, baby, I'm serious" he smiled at her, pulling her into a hug.

He kissed her on the lips when she gently touched the swelling, making him pull back in pain.

Later, just after 8 p.m., Mano got dressed, fixed his messy jet black hair with some gel, sprayed on some cologne, and grabbed his motorcycle keys.

He arrived outside Stella's house and sent her a message.

After a while, the door opened, and she came out, dressed to the nines.

Mano glanced at the time on his phone.

"Just made it" he said, knowing if she had been a minute later, he would've left.

"Hey, babyyy"

"You're not gonna make me wait like that again, got it?"

"I had to look perfect. So many people are gonna see us"

"From where?"

"The stories I'm going to post, obviously"

"You're gonna post that you're with me?" he looked disgusted.

"Yeah"

"You want me to kill you now, or throw you off the bike while I'm driving?"

"How else will my ex move on?"
