"I didn't call you anything. If you're hearing voices, you should see a doctor" Mano snapped, his head turned to the side.

Ody couldn't help but grin. "Alright then. I'll talk to the guys and book the tickets. When it's time to look for hotels, I'll let you know"

"Fine"

"You going out with that Rania?" Ody shifted the subject, and Mano turned to look at him.

"If she texts, yeah"

"And if she doesn't? You're not gonna text her?"

"No"

"Why not?"

"Because I don't care that much. Just another hookup" Mano said indifferently, and Ody didn't respond. "Why didn't you give your Insta to that other girl?"

"Because I have a girlfriend"

"Lots of people do, but they still cheat"

"I'm not one of those people"

"Yeah, I've noticed" Mano said, locking eyes with Ody. "Ready to leave? I've got studying to do"

"Yeah, same"

After paying, they reached Mano's bike. This time, Ody wrapped his arms around Mano's waist without being told.

"I'm gonna go fast. Prepare"

"Don't!" Ody exclaimed, startled, and Mano laughed.

"Relax, I'm kidding. What's your issue with speed?" Mano asked rhetorically as he started the engine.

When they reached Mano's apartment building, they saw Ody's car parked in the same spot.

"Come on, scaredy-cat" Mano teased, unbuckling Ody's helmet. When he pulled it off, he held it in his hands while Ody looked annoyed.

"Don't call me that"

"I figured you'd be fine with speed since you drive, and you're pretty chill with how you handle the car"

"I don't have an issue with speed. Don't call me scaredy-cat" Ody repeated, serious and irritated.

"Fine" Mano got off and walked toward the building's entrance, but he noticed Ody hadn't said goodbye like he usually did, and that puzzled him.

"Ody?" he called, turning to look at him as Ody was about to get into his car.

"What?" he sounded annoyed, his expression still tense.

Mano held his gaze. "Nothing" he turned away and entered the building.

Both of them spent the night studying for exams. The next morning, after breakfast, they immediately resumed studying.

Until the quiet hours arrived, Mano practiced pieces on his guitar, flute, and violin.

This damn studying never ends. But come over, I'm losing it

Mano also received a text from Rania, the brunette he'd met at the café.

I'm great. I was wondering if you're free for that drink we talked about

Where do you want to meet?

Later that evening, Mano arrived at the bar on his bike and waited outside. Five minutes later, he saw her walking toward him.
