Kash's lips pressed against Ody's, holding him firmly in place with his hands on the back of his neck.

Ody struggled to push him away until he finally succeeded. "What are you doing?!" he shot up from the couch.

Kash, still staring at him, stood up as well. "Ody... I've seen how you are with him. You're not just friends. There's more going on!" His tone was intense, and Ody was shocked that such a thought had even crossed his mind.

"There's n-nothing going on! What the hell are you talking about?!"

"You two sacrificed yourselves to protect each other! Don't try to bullshit me—I know it firsthand!"

"There's nothing going on with Mano, are you out of your mind?! I have a girlfriend!" Ody shouted, visibly upset.

"I've seen you! I've seen how far he'll go to save you. I've seen the way you look at him!"

"Even if that's true, that doesn't give you the right to kiss me!" Ody moved further away from him.

"So, you're admitting it. There's something going on between you two" Kash said, calmer now but serious.

Ody blinked awkwardly. He needed to convince him otherwise.

"I'm straight. I like women, okay?!"

"Say it a few more times, maybe you'll start believing it" Kash replied, his tone serious, laced with sarcasm.

"Don't try to project your preferences onto me! If you like guys, good for you!"

"I like you!" Kash said immediately, and their eyes locked.

Ody couldn't believe this was happening. It felt surreal. The guy who had caused them so much pain... now stood in front of him saying he wanted him.

"I don't want you to hate me anymore... That's why I came to talk to you. I just want you to give me a chance"

"A chance for what?"

"To get to know me. The real Kash"

"So, the Kash who humiliated me and beat Mano with bats was someone else?"

"You said it yourself! I hit Mano. Not you"

"Oh, so that's your excuse now? You still punched me three times in the bathroom that first time!"

"I only did it because my guys were there! They couldn't find out!" Kash's voice rose, leaving Ody momentarily speechless.

"Even at that school... when we dragged you there... I told my guys not to hit you too hard" he added, his voice softer toward the end.

"Besides, I knew he'd come to save you, so he'd take the beating instead" Kash said, and Ody clenched his jaw. "We wouldn't have hurt you... But Mano had other plans..." he added, giving Ody a knowing look, but he shook his head in disbelief.

Did he think this made it okay? That they'd spare him but go after Mano instead? What the hell was wrong with him?

"As long as you keep talking like this about someone... I'll keep hating you" Ody said firmly, and Kash seemed rattled.

"Do you want me to stop hating you?" he asked, their eyes locked again. "Then stop going after my friends"

"Only if you promise to give me a chance"

"I told you, I have a girlfriend!"

"Tell the truth and drop the excuses! Admit you're into Mano, and that's why you won't go out with me!" Kash snapped, and the tension between them flared again.
