It was graduation day.
"When we were five they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like astronaut, president, or in my case, a princess." The room laughed. "When we were ten, they asked again. We answered rock star, cowboy, or in my case, gold medalist." The class had been allowed to sit wherever they wanted, so Bella and Elena sat next to each other with Edward and Jasper at their respective sides. Alice had been on Jasper's other side with a smile on her face.
"But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this? Who the hell knows?" Jessica laughed as the crowd cheered for her. "This isn't the time to make hard and fast decisions. This is the time to make mistakes. Take the wrong train and get stuck somewhere. Fall in love, a lot." Someone in the crowd cheered.
Elena was already holding Jasper's hand and the couple smiled at each other. It was safe to say the couple were not going to fall in love with anybody else any time soon.
"Major in philosophy because there's no way to make a career out of that. Change your mind, and change it again, because nothing is permanent. So make as many mistakes as you can. That way someday when they ask what we want to be. We won't have to guess, we'll know." Jessica closed off her speech gaining claps and cheers all around.
Elena had started crying because she knew she was going to miss her friends and everyone she would eventually have to leave behind. Jasper kissed the side of her head to comfort her but it only helped a little. She made her decision and she was happy with it.

Elena and Bella had finally arrived at the Cullen house. The place was decorated and music was blasting through the walls. Elena couldn't help but think of how Jasper must've been feeling with all the bodies in his home. Immediately she knew who she was going to look for first. Bella had been wearing a light blue button up along with a pair of jeans. Elena had tried to convince her sister to wear a dress but of course she refused.
Elena on the other hand wore a short red dress that hugged her body perfectly. Her hair was let down in loose curls and she wore heels knowing Alice and Rosalie would kill her if she hadn't matched her outfit accordingly.
"Alice really went all out." Elena said over the music.
"Only she would." The girls had made their way upstairs and looked around. Immediately they spotted Angela and Jessica who had been dancing in another room. The pair quickly made their way over to the pair with smiles on their faces. It was safe to say they were having a blast already.
"You made it." Angela was the first to greet them with open arms.
"Hey! What did you think of my speech?" Jessica asked as she let the girls go from their hug. Elena and Bella didn't get to stick around for long after the ceremony because they went to eat with Charlie to celebrate finishing high school.
"Too easy breezy? Too self helpful? You hated it?" Jessica was starting to doubt herself.
"Hell no. You did absolutely amazing!" Elena encouraged the girl whose face beamed brighter.
"You nailed it." Bella added.
"Yeah? It's like I was born to lead right?" Jessica asked gaining a laugh from Elena.
"Maybe you should shoot for President Jess. I know you would do great." Elena hugged Jessica again before the latter was pulled away to dance with Angela.
"Second thoughts Bell?" Elena wrapped one arm around her sister as the two watched their friends walk away.
"Not a chance." Bella pushed her sister away with a smirk and they turned to start looking for their real reasons for being here.
The girls had entered one room and looked around quickly before realizing the Cullen's were nowhere to been seen. Elena turned around but gasped as she saw who had just crashed the party. Jacob found the girl's eyes before he started to approach with Quil and Embry right behind him.
"What are you doing here?" Bella asked as the twins met them halfway.
"You invited me remember?" Jacob had a smug look on his face.
"Didn't you get punched in the face?" Elena cocked her head to the side causing Quil and Embry to let out a small second of laughter.
"That was me uninviting you." Bella knew that he knew that. But Jacob was also someone who wouldn't listen.
"Look Bella I'm sorry, about, you know, the kiss and your hand. I'd blame it on the whole inner animal thing but it was really just me. Being an ass. I'm really sorry." He apologized. "I brought you something. A graduation present, I made it myself." He held out a bracelet to Bella who took it.
Elena knew Jacob was trying to make amends. She felt someone's eyes on her so she looked up and was met with Embry. He couldn't help but notice how amazing she looked and he had to tell her. She walked over to him and hugged him.
"Hey Em." She greeted with a smile. She then turned to Quil and hugged him as well. "Quil look at you." She winked.
"Have you seen yourself lately El? Cause you look-"
Embry cut the boy off before he could say something embarrassing. "Beautiful. You look beautiful Elena." She could feel the heat rising to her cheeks.
"Thanks Em. You too Quil." Quil nodded but stayed on alert. He knew who's house they were in and knew they were dangerous.
"I got you this as well." Embry reached into his pocket and pulled out a small dainty silver bracelet with the letter E on a silver plate placed in the middle.
"E as Embry or E as Elena?" She raised her eyebrow to him.
"Both. I figured you would need a piece of me even when you can't see me." He flipped it over and Elena saw the outline of a wolf engraved into the back.
"Wow Em. I love it. Thank you!" She threw her arms around him again and he nuzzled into her neck.
"Anything for you." He whispered in her ear. She opened her eyes and saw Alice standing on the stairs spacing out.
"Excuse me." She let go of Embry before making her way over to Alice with Bella trailing closely behind.
"Alice what did you see?" The twins asked gaining Alice's focus back.
"The decision's been made." Alice sounded fearful.
"What's going on?" Jacob joined the conversation as he stood behind Bella. Embry and Quil took their place behind Elena.
"You're not going to Seattle." Elena knew the answer. Alice's vision must've been bad.
"No, they're coming here."
