Dani and Matt were in her bedroom alone while Nick and Chris took an Uber to go out shopping. At the moment she was watching edits of her and Matt on Tiktok to see what they were like. Matt looks over at her and knows exactly which one she was watching.
"Why are you watching our edits?" He asks laughing a bit.
"How do you know what I'm watching?" She puts her phone down on her lap.
"I've seen that one a lot."
"How come you kept these edits to yourself?" She asks him since was a little bit curious, "Why not tell me?"
"Didn't want to make you uncomfortable." He tells her the truth.
"Doesn't matter now." She chuckles.
"Are you sure sure?" He looks through his phone refusing to look at her.
"Yes."
"Wanna see my favorite? Don't make fun of me." He says then leans over to show her the edit and she smiles.
"Cute."
"And you're okay with that?" He looks at her.
"Why wouldn't I be?" She scans his face.
"Well, you know our situation." He says since they never really talked about what they are.
"I think it helps."
'Wanna tell me how?" All he does is smile.
"I think you know how it helps so don't make me say it." She laughs at him.
"I just wanted to hear you say it." He gave her a look and it was killing her.
"Matt, you can't do this to me." She tosses her head back.
"Watch me."
"What a gentlemen." She rolls her eyes.
"Fuck you Dan-," Matt was cut off by the bedroom door opening.
"The door's closed?"
"Go away!" Dani shouts at Colby so he leaves them alone. She groans throwing her head back before getting up to fall back onto her bed next to Matt. "I hate him."
"You don't hate him. You hate what he's doing." He makes that clear, "He's just being an older brother."
"Gage isn't like that at all and he's the oldest." She tilts her head back to look at him before looking back at her ceiling, "I don't wanna see how he'll act when he finds out you're my boyfriend."
Matt starts to smile then leans forward on his hand to hover over looking at her upside down, "You said it."
"Oh, shut up!" She moves away from him, "Are you happy now?" She sits it.
"You know how many times I almost slipped calling you my girlfriend since our date? I've been hoping you would say it first so I know exactly where you stand and feel. I didn't wanna scare you away."
"I've been waiting for a month for you to call me that. You wouldn't have scared me away, Matt. Trust me, I've liked you for so so long." She lets him know.
"Tell me exactly how long."
"Since your mom asked me when I meet her. When we were on the couch chatting and you guys were all hanging out together. Hell, I got a crush on you while we were in the elevator together." She laughs really thinking about it.
"How funny, I developed a crush on you while we were in the elevator too. But it only got worse getting to know you when you moved in with us." He lets her know, "Wait, my mom knows you like me?" That part just him making her laugh out loud.
"Of course she does, Matt. Last time we were there during our talk, that you asked her to have with me, we talked about you too in that little session we had. About how I was scared of losing you if you didn't feel the same way about me. You, our friendship, is one of the few things in my life that makes me happy. You get me, you understood me and you-,"
Matt cuts her off by leaning in giving her a kiss which she gladly accepts. Just hearing the way she truly felt about him and losing him made him full of love and joy.
"If I have to wait for you to make the first move for our first kiss, it would be another month and I can't take that after hearing that."
Dani leans forward reconnecting their lips once more, "Good thing you didn't then." She smiles against his lips.
"I can get used to this." He pulls her closer but she stops him.
"Hey, Colby likes to bust in. Just small short ones sadly. Trust me, I want to kiss you." She laughs getting up but he jumps up wrapping his arms around her to give her little kisses all over her face. "Stop it." She giggles trying to get out of his arms.
Matt stops to look at her but still kept a tight hold on her so she couldn't get away. He's always disliked how some couples would act like this. But now actually being with someone who makes him feel all bubbly he didn't find it cheesy anymore. He wanted to show her how he felt about her.
For Dani she honestly never wanted to date again after her ex but she knew Matt was entirely different. She trusted him with her life if she had to. He's shown he cares for her so many times. For the first time ever she was falling in love.
Dani grabs the front of his shirt and pulling him down to her. As their lips crashed together once more the kiss was anything but gentle-hungry, almost desperate.
Matt lets his arm loosen around her so his hands could go to her waist. Gripping tightly as he pulled her even closer, his fingers digging into her skin just enough to make her gasp against his mouth. He took advantage of that, deepening the kiss, his tongue teasing against hers in a way that sent a shiver down her spine.
Dani could feel the heat radiating off him, Matt's body pressed so close to hers that it was hard to tell where she ended and he began. Every touch, every movement felt electric, like they were both on fire.
When Dani finally pulled back for air, his breath was ragged, his lips swollen and slightly parted as if he couldn't quite believe what had just happened.
"What was that for?"
"So you really know how much my feelings for you truly are." She gives him a little smile before leaving her room as he stood there staring to smile to himself.
As he goes to open the door, Colby was standing there with his arms crossed. Matt sighs letting his head fall back, "What Colby?"
"You like my sister?"
"Yes, I like your sister but nothing is going on. Are you happy now?" Matt asks him tired of it. "Some advice, stop being so overprotective." Matt walks past him.
"Or what?" Colby makes Matt turn around.
"Or what?" Matt repeats him, "Or you're gonna piss Dani off to a point she wants nothing to do with you anymore. I care about her and she's my friend. I'm not her ex, Colby." Matt tells him walking off for good this time leaving him to think.
