JOSIAH'S P.O.V
"What's taking Kayden so long? He's been gone for hours and I've got to get this plan started," I paced around the room, muttering to myself as I thought aloud.
"They will be back. It is not like they would die," Sebastian said. "Humans can't kill them. Don't you think so?" He added and I nodded.
I wasn't even worried about them dying, I hardly give a fuck about their lives. I want my plan to go smoothly and I am worried they'd mess it up. What was I thinking, bringing demons into the mission? Their attitude of making things go quickly?
"I don't want you guys to mess up what I worked hard for," I said and Sebastian grinned in anger.
"We worked for it also," he replied. "We left our lives to follow and you haven't even shed a bit of gratefulness."
"Your lives? What life do you have apart from the one of having sex with weird creatures?" I yelled.
"Josiah, one of that weird creatures was what provided the virgin you killed," Sebastian said, raising his voice also. "You should be grateful we agreed to help," he added.
"You shouldn't raise your voice at me," I said in anger, glaring at him and he shrugged.
"You should try making yourself respectable and change your attitude also. This attitude isn't looking good on you," Sabastian said.
I don't know where the boldness came from but he sure was talking back at me and he was doing it without fretting. I was getting too angry to respond to him. All I thought of doing was breaking his head into two. I saw him dead already but I couldn't just kill him since he could be useful.
"I'm letting this slide this time. You should learn your place before you force me to kill you," I said and walked away. I entered my room and laid on the bed, letting out a breath.
I made my way into my study, sighing as I walked through the door. My mind still paced around wondering what Kayden could be doing. I found myself being stupid for worrying. I walked out of the study and went to pick something of Kayden's. I made my way Into my study again, locking the door behind me.
I scanned my shelf to see if I had the tools to find him - who am I kidding? I have everything. I picked a tin of salt, candles, my grimore and some herbs. After using the salt to draw a circle, I placed four candles at twelve, three, six and nine o'clock points of the circle.
"_Incendia_" I muttered and the candle came to life. I opened my grimore and sighed, glancing through it before shutting my eyes.
"_Invidium cala mactus_" I chanted and nothing happened. "_Invidium cala mactus._" I was the strongest witch that lived and not even a demon could hide from me.
The colour of the flames soon changed to blue, making some sparkles like electricity was passed within the fire. I shut my eyes again, connecting myself with the occurrence and the intense atmosphere.
I opened my eyes widely, the zoom in my vision making me lose where I was, until I finally arrived at a house where I saw Kayden standing.
"What were they doing there?" I thought. We don't have business with humans and Kayden doesn't seem to get it.
"Your son is a God like Jesus was. As you all know, Jesus was the second who came to save you guys from your sins. Well this guy, here, is the third. The world of demons has improved more than the part of just whispering stuffs in the heads of individuals or possessing them. Now, we can take our own forms and still harness our great powers." I watched him say and that was when my mind got the idea of what was going on.
Is that the Third God? Why is Kayden here now? I wanted to kill him from here but obviously I couldn't. Demons - they are always quick-witted and that was why I never wanted to work with them in the first place. I continued to watch and I saw Leah walk in. Was she also part of him? Or was she just looking for him like I was?
"What the fuck are you guys doing?" I yelled, knowing obviously that they can't hear me. They were scaring the parents and the little child. Not like I care but I wanted to do this another way. I got dragged before I could think of or sight another thing.
I opened my eyes, back in reality, and turned back to find Sebastian staring at me.
"Why the fuck did you interrupt me?" I said and he used his looks to apologize. "I found Kayden. He's at the Third God's home."
"Are we heading there?" Sebastian asked and I nodded.
"I wanted this to stay longer. But as you demons are, you're always quick to react and now, we have to do this now," I said. " We are not fighting on earth though."
"Where do you have in mind?"
"Leah will take us to somewhere better."
LEAH'S P.O.V
"He is a God," I said, making my way to be seen by Gabriel. His eyes widened showing that he recognized me. "Hi, Gabriel," I added.
I walked into the house and closed the door. I looked at his parent and saw the fear gripping them. They have gone through a lot just these few minutes that Kayden had come here.
"What are you doing here?" Kayden asked and I smirked.
"I should be asking you that. You are supposed to follow a steady plan and you are here disrupting it," I said and he shrugged.
"Plans are useless. He hasn't gotten hold of his power which would be the perfect time to kill him but you guys want to follow a plan that gives him time," Kayden said and I let out a breath.
"You don't even know him and you don't care if he is alive or dead. So why do you want this to go faster than it should? Josiah is the one that needs this. So, let us let it go his way," I said and Kayden shook his head.
