Ch. 30 Forever

Ari's POV

I was getting tired of walking around with this giant belly, I was due in 2 weeks. I was out of work and on bed rest because, they said I was working too hard.

No early labor is what the nurse kept saying to me, I was laying in bed with my hands on my stomach looking up at the ceiling. Wes walked in with a giant grin on his face, "Hey babe," he said to me laying on the bed.

"Hi," I said not breaking my gaze from the ceiling. "Are you okay?" He said looking at me. I shook my head yes but, I didn't mean yes. I meant no, I wasn't okay.

"I know when you're lying to me Ari, now tell me what's wrong." He said. "I'm scared," I said. "I'm scared too," he said smiling at me.

"No, I mean I'm scared to have this baby. So much bad stuff has happened to us, and now I'm pregnant. I'm pregnant and what happens if something is wrong with the baby, what happens if I lose it, wh-," I was cut off by Wes.

"Ari, Ari, listen to me. I know a lot of bad things have happened to us in the past but, that doesn't mean anything. Bad things happen to people everyday, it's your choice to decide what to do. Not the universe, this baby is going to be fine. And if it isn't then, we will deal with it because we can. We can and we will get through this, I love you. I love you so much, and nothing will change that." He said looking into my eyes.

I grinned and leaned in and kissed his lips, I never felt more sure than what I felt right now. This man was the love of my life, and he was going to by my side forever.

Wes's POV

Ari was sleeping with her head on my chest, I could feel her breathing. I've never been this happy, this girl was the one. We were going to have a baby, I'm going to be a father. I can't believe that, it's still shocking to me.

Ari started moving all of a sudden, "Hey baby what's up?" I said looking down at her. "The baby its coming Wes," she said getting up quickly. "What? You aren't due for 2 weeks though," I said getting up myself.

"No it's coming now," she said and I jumped out of bed and grabbed a hoodie and some jeans. "WES" she said and I ran to her. She was standing and there was liquid all down her pajamas and the floor.

"Oh gosh babe your water broke, we gotta go now." I grabbed her hand, the emergency hospital bag and my keys. I walked her to the car quickly and jumped in and drove to the hospital.

"I can't believe this is happening right now," I said smiling at her. She smiled back at me and started yelling. "HOLY SHIT THIS HURTS!" She said all of a sudden.

I grabbed her hand, "We'll be there soon just hold on baby," I said my eyes fixed on the road. Finally we reached the hospital and I drove to emergency. I helped Ari out and we ran in, she continued to yell.

"What seems to be the problem?" The nurse said until she looked at Ari. "Got it she's in labor, what's her name?" She asked me grabbing a wheelchair and setting Ari down in it.

"Arielle, her name is Arielle," I said feeling a bit panicked. "And you are?" She said as I followed her down a hall quickly. "I'm her husband, Wesley." "Are you ready to be a father Wesley?" She asked me. "I've never been more ready," I said meaning every word.

We were put into a room and I helped Ari change into a hospital gown. A doctor came in and examined Ari, "You're dilated already, are you ready to have this baby Ari?" He asked her.

She nodded her head and gripped my hand tight. The doctor and the nurses left to grab supplies, are baby was coming now. I can't believe he or she would be here soon.

"Hey Wes," Ari said to me. "Yes babe," I said staring into her beautiful eyes. "I'm scared," she said as tears escaped her eyes. "Me too but, we're gonna be the best parents. You wanna know how I know?" I said to her while wiping a tear away from her eye.

"How?" She said. "Because we love each other, and we're going to love this baby just as much as we love each other. I know you're scared but, baby this is going to be a new journey. I'm so ready to take this journey and I couldn't be happier," I said tearing up.

"I love you so much," she said as the tears fell freely. "I love you more princess," I said as I kissed her lips. The doctor and the nurses came back in and they had the supplies.

8 hours later

Wes's POV
"You got this babe you're so close just one more push!" I said as Ari gave it her all. That's when I heard it, the crying of our baby. I cut the umbilical chord and smiled down at my son.

"Congrats you 2, you have a son." The doctor said as they cleaned him off and wrapped him in a little blue blanket. They handed him to me and I just cried.

He was so beautiful, my son. I couldn't stop smiling as I walked over to Ari. She took him and cried, "He's so beautiful." she said trembling.

"Hi Andrew," I said touching his face. "Andrew?" Ari said looking at me. "I love it," she said. "Andrew Stromberg," I said as the doctor took him to make sure everything was alright.

6 Years later

Ari's POV

"Happy birthday Andrew!" I said spinning my six year old around. I heard the front door and Andrew ran to it. "DADDY!" "Hey bud, happy birthday!" I heard Wes say.

He walked in with the same shades and SnapBack from six years ago. I smiled as I heard someone waking up from a nap. Wes came over and kissed me on the lips, "Hey baby." He said kissing my forehead before getting our daughter.

We had a daughter a year after Andrew was born. Andrew was six and Bella was five. We named her after my little sister, she is so bright and has her daddy's singing voice already.

Bella came running in her dad not far behind her chasing her and she squealed. "Drew get daddy awayyyyy," she said to Andrew. "Go away dad or I'll fight you," he said pushing his sister behind him.

"Go play you 2," I said shooing them out of the kitchen. They ran off and Wes came over and rested his hands on my hips and faced me. "I'm so glad I met you Arielle, I love you more than anything in this world." He said grinning at me.

"I love you so much, I'm glad I found you." I said smiling back. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, and it still felt like the first time we kissed. That's how I knew this would be forever, he was the love of my life and I was the love of his.
