Chapter 1:New Girl in Town

~Arielle's POV~

We pulled up into the driveway of this new unfamiliar place. I looked out the window and in front of me I saw a large two story cream house. Next me Bella was asleep in her car seat. She was so peaceful, I was careful not to wake her when I took her out of her car seat.

I walked in the house and I was in awe. This was the nicest house I had ever lived in before. My dad didn't have the best, or most safe job but it did bring in money.

He was a drug dealer. We had to get away from New York because, people became suspicious. In all honesty I hated him. More than anything I just wanted my mom back.

My dad abused my mom, he treated her so poorly I don't why she stuck around. She ended up getting cancer soon after my baby sister Bella was born. Just four short years later, what seemed like the shortest four years of my life she passed away.

Now my dad had taken to hitting me. I would never let him touch Bella. Whenever he tried I would step in front of her telling him to hit me instead. He hadn't hit me in quite a long time though.

We learned to keep our distance from each other. I stayed out of his way he stayed out of mine. I took care of Bella, I fed, taught, cared for Bella. She was only five and I was the closest thing to a mother she was ever going to get.

I never let her forget our mother though. I explained to her that I was her sister and our mom had died a long time ago. I told her that I would always be there to care for her. I wasn't going to feed her some bullshit lies that our mom was just on vacation. No she deserved the truth, so that's what I told her.

Bella woke up and she looked up and said, "Where are we?" I laughed, "In the new house sleepy head! Wanna help me pick my room?" "Yes Ari!" I smiled at her.

We walked up the stairs and I set her on her feet. She went to a room that overlooked the neighborhood. It had a large room in the front, and it was pretty decent size.

"This one!" Bella exclaimed. "Alrighty then it's settled, thanks Bella." I smiled at her and picked her up. I heard the movers coming upstairs. They put all my stuff in my room and I told them I would move it how I liked.

They brought up my boxes of clothes, and trinkets and then left. I moved my bed right under the window. I put my curtains up. Then I put my dresser and desk on the left and right walls. I put my tv at the foot of my bed on a tv table.

I put all my clothes away, and hung posters and pictures on the wall. Bella helped me (sort of) hang my lights up I had in my other room. The last thing I put out was the picture of my mom, I set that on my nightstand next to my lava lamp.

Bella and I laid on my bed and sighed, finally all the work was done. I was pretty pleased with how everything turned out. I checked the time it was barely, three o'clock.

"Hey Bella wanna go do something fun?" "Yes! What are we going to do?" "I was thinking skateboarding, how do you like that idea?" Her face brightened up and she nodded.

I grabbed her knee and elbow pads and

put them on her. She always liked to put her helmet on herself. She grabbed her little pink board and I grabbed my beanie and my checkered skateboard.

We walked out the front door and I noticed three boys standing in the driveway across the street holding their boards. Oh my goodness, they were so cute. Especially the one with brown hair.

~Wes's POV~

There she stood, she must have been our new neighbor. She was a little shorter than me, she was wearing a sublime t-shirt with high waisted shorts, white converse, and an obey beanie. She had a small nose piercing and her hair was blonde and curled.

She looked so perfect, I just stood there like an idiot staring at her. A few seconds later Drew pushed me and said, "DUDE SNAP OUT OF IT!" "Huh..Oh right haha sorry, she's just-" "So perfect?" He said laughing.

I glared at him and said, "Back off I saw her first.." Drew laughed at me and said he was kidding. The new girl and what appeared to be her little sister started skating down the street.

Apparently the perfect girl wasn't paying attention to her little sister because a few minutes into skating she had fallen to the ground.

Perfect, this is my opportunity to go and talk to her! I sounded like such a bad person thinking how perfect a little girl just fell on the floor now is my opportunity to hit on her sister.

I got on my board and rode over to the two. She was helping her sister up and when she turned around she almost knocked me over.

"You are pretty good at knocking people over!" I said laughing. She blushed and apologized. "No worries, I'm Wes. This is my little bro Keaton and my best bud Drew!"

They waved at her and smiled. "Well I'm Arielle, and this is my little sister Bella." "Wow you two have very pretty names," I said winking at Arielle.

She blushed again, damn she looked so cute doing that! Snap out of it Wes, she is a new girl you are probably scaring her. "So did you just move here, or..?" "Yeah I just moved here with my dad, we came from New York so this has been my first day in Cali!"

"How are you liking it so far?" "I think it's beautiful, not nearly as busy as New York so I could definitely get used to that!" "Have you been around the town yet?" "No, this is the first time I've been outside today haha."

An idea popped into my head. "Well how would you like me and my buds giving you a tour of Huntington?"

~Arielle's POV~

I can't believe this perfect boy was talking to me. He was cute, and his smile oh man his smile. He wanted to take me around the town.

In New York I shut most people out, didn't really talk to that many people. I was a shy quiet girl. Now that I had moved to Cali maybe that could change.

I looked down at Bella, "Hey Bella these three lovely boys want to show is around town, how does that sound?" She smiled and said, "Sounds fun, let's go!" "Haha okay Bella, well we are in then!" I smiled at Wes.

He instantly perked up and said, "Great!" Man so much had already changed and I had only been here a few hours. Hm I wonder if being the new girl in town wouldn't be so bad after all!

So this is the first chapter. I really hope you guys get a feel of what Arielle has to deal with. Oh and how much she truly cares about Bella. Anyways I will updating the next chapter very soon! Keep reading, love you all! Kenzie <3
