Ch. 29 Surprise

Ari's POV

So after throwing up I decided to go to the doctors, I got up and changed and got ready to go. I felt so bad for Wes, he was supposed to go on tour but I was holding him here.

I quickly got dressed and headed out to the doctors, when I got there the lady at the front desk said, "Back so soon?" "Unfortunately yes," I said. "Go ahead and sign in they will call you when their ready," she said as I signed in.

A few minutes passed and then I heard my name, I went back and talked to the doctor. "What brings you in today?" she said. "Well, I've been throwing up a lot lately almost non stop and I can't seem to figure out why," I said.

"When was the last time you had your period?" she said writing on her chart. "Umm a month ago? I'm pretty irregular so I'm not exactly sure, why do you ask?" I said.

"Pregnancy is a possibility with the way you're describing how you feel," the doctor said. "Me? Pr-pregnant?" I said stuttering. "Yes, why don't we do an ultrasound?" She said looking at me.

"Sure," I said trying to think how this was possible. They said a few months ago I couldn't get pregnant, but if I am this was going to be crazy. We went to a different room and I changed into a gown.

She put the jelly on my belly and she looked at me and said, "Are you ready?" I shook my head yes as she put the monitor on. "There it is," she said pointing at the monitor. "W-what? I'm pregnant," I said staring at the screen with my mouth wide open.

"Yes Mrs.Stromberg, you're about six weeks along," she said grinning at me. I could not believe what I was hearing, I started crying. "Are you okay?" She said searching my face. "I'm more than okay," I said cupping my face in my hands.

"Would you like me to print out a picture of this for you?" She said. I shook my head yes, "Okay I'll do that right away. You can go ahead and get dressed and

we'll talk about the next few months," she said smiling.

Wow this is so crazy, I'm pregnant. What is Wes going to think? Is he going to be excited? I've never really talked about kids with him, I think he wants them. What if he doesn't? I have to tell him though, right away.

A few hours later

Ari's POV

I came home with a grin on my face, I heard Wes singing in the shower and I plopped down on our bed. "I'M HOME BABE!" I shouted. I heard the shower go off, Wes walked out a moment later with a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Hey baby, what did the doctor say?" He said looking at me with a concerned look. "Well uh, um." I said fidgeting with my hands. "Is it bad? If it is you have to tell me, please tell me. I'm so worried about you," he said walking over to me.

I stood up and I ran my fingers through my hair. "Ari please tell me," he said putting his hands on my hips. "Wes, I'm pregnant," I said in one breath. "What? You're pregnant," he said with a shocked face.

"I'm sorry! I shouldn't have assumed you wanted to be a father, I just thought. I shouldn't have told you," I said rambling. "What are you crazy!? I'm so incredibly happy, of course I want to be a father!" He said smiling at me.

"Really?" I said shocked. "Babe, I love you. I never brought up kids because, I didn't want to overwhelm you, I'm so happy. I'm gonna be a dad," he said smiling and putting his hands on my belly.

I pulled out the ultrasound picture and handed it to him, "I'm about six weeks a long," I said smiling. He smiled and pressed his lips to mine, "I love you so much, I'm gonna love our baby as much as I love you," he said connecting our lips.

Wes's POV

I can't believe I'm going to be a dad, I'm laying in bed with Arielle as she sleeps. I'm stroking her hair and thinking about the next few months.

Then my phone starts to buzz, I reach over and pick it up. It's my mom, "Hi mom what's up?" I said confused. It was two in the morning why was she calling me now.

"Wes...It's Keaton," she said her voice shaking. "What's wrong mom?" I said. "There's been an accident," she said choking on her words. "What do you mean an accident? Is he okay," I said shaking.

"He's stable but, you need to get to the hospital right away," she said. "Alright I'm coming," I said hanging up the phone. I shook Ari awake gently and she looked up at me confused.

"Babe, Keaton's been in an accident we need to get to the hospital right away." I said all in one breathe. "Is he okay?" She said jumping out of bed and changing quickly.

"Mom says he is stable right now," I said. I grabbed the keys and she took them out of my hands. "You don't need to be driving right now," she said.

"I'm fine Ari really," I said. "No you aren't, your hands are shaking. Let me drive," she said. She shook her head, "Let me do this for you," she said.

I finally gave in and we got in the car and drove towards the hospital. I had no idea what I was going to see when I got there.

We arrived at the hospital and I saw my mom, and Drew sitting in the waiting room. I gave them hugs and asked my mom if she knew what was going but she just shook her head in a no motion.

It seemed like we were there for hours when a doctor finally emerged from his room. "Hi, Strombergs?" The doctor said looking at all of us.

"Keaton is asking for you," he said in one breath. Thank god he is okay, I was thinking to myself. A huge weight was lifted off my chest, I felt like I could breath again.

We all stood up and Ari intertwined our fingers. I smiled at her as a tear escaped my eye. We walked in the room and Keaton looked pretty banged up.

"OH GOSH SWEETIE WHAT HAPPENED?!" Our mom said running to his side. "Just a minor car accident," he joked.

The doctor looked at Keaton and narrowed his eyes. "Mrs.Stromberg your son is lucky to be alive," he said. "What happened?" Our mom said again.

Keaton told us he was driving it was late he was tired and he went to go through a yellow light but it turned red. He didn't see and a car plowed right into the side of his car.

"What are the extent of his injuries?" I asked. "Three broken ribs, a fractured ankle, a gash on top of his head, other then that he has bruises." The doctor said.

"Don't drive when you are tired," I said smacking his chest. "Ow!" He yelled. "You scared the hell out of us baby bro, I'm just glad you're okay." I said smiling.

"Me too," he said yawning. "You should get some rest," he shook his head yes and began to nod off. We all decided to go home, Ari talked to Keaton and then we left.

"I love you," I said to Ari as we were about to get into the car. "I know, I love you too." She said smiling. "These things make me realize how good I have it. I don't ever want to lose you, it would kill me." I said.

"Don't worry I'm not going anywhere," she said grinning. I grabbed her hips and pressed my lips softly to hers. "No you aren't," I said smiling.
