Ch. 21: Familiar Feelings

~Ari's POV~

As soon as I got to the airport it was packed, I went to the section where you pick people up and waited for the boys. After a few minutes I saw three familiar faces, I smiled and ran over to them.

Drew smiled at me and picked me up spinning me around. After he set me down I giggled and then walked into Keaton's open arms. "Did you get a haircut Keats?" I said smiling, "Yeah I did!" "It looks great," I said ruffling it.

Drew and Keaton walked ahead as I turned to face Wes. A huge grin broke across his face, I walked over to him as he wrapped his arms around my waist. We broke apart after a few minutes and walked towards the boys, it felt weird not holding his hand.

We drove home and all went to my apartment, as soon as we got their Bella ran to Drew. It was the cutest thing, him and Keaton started talking to her about school while Wes and I sat on the couch.

"So, can we talk?" He asked fidgeting nervously with his hands. "Yeah, not today though you guys just got back we should celebrate your coming home," I said smiling at him.

"Where you thinking the same thing as I was?" Wes said smirking at me. "Party?" We both said in unison. "Haven't had one of those in forever sounds fun," I said chuckling.

"Hey Drew, Keats you up for a party tonight?" Wes asked them. "Sounds dope man!" Drew said. "Yeah sounds like fun," Keaton said after Drew. "Alright I will call up people, and we can order food and get drinks!"

~Several Hours Later~

The party was in full swing now, red solo cups were all over the place. Empty pizza boxes, and bottles littered the place. I was dancing with Wes and he told me he would be right back.

I walked away to get a drink when I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Hey gorgeous," his words were slurred. "Ian what the hell are you doing here?" I said in angry/drunk voice.

"One of my friends invited me, can we talk?" He said looking into my eyes. "About what?" "About us." "Us? There is no us did you forget that you cheated on me?" "No, I'm sorry about that Ari!" He said loud, now people were staring at us.

"Sorry doesn't mean shit, what you did was wrong. I thought you actually cared about me, I was wrong I guess!" I said now raising my voice. "I do care about you, I LOVE YOU!" When he said that I stopped breathing.

When I was finally able to speak I was really angry. "If you loved me Ian you wouldn't have done what you did. I can't forgive you, stay away from me!" I said yelling.

I looked and saw Wes was in the back looking shocked. Next think I knew I was on the ground, a burning sensation seared through my eye. I put my hand over it, when my vision focused I saw Ian's hand clutched shut making a fist.

Did he just punch me in the face? Seconds later Wes was punching Ian in the face, he fell to the ground. Drew came running in and pulled Wes off Ian, and Ian was kicked out.

Drew and Wes helped me up off the floor and we grabbed some frozen peas from the fridge and went into the other room. I sat down and Wes looked confused, Drew mouthed to me, "Can you handle this?" I nodded my head and Drew left.

"Who the hell was that Ari?!" Wes said clenching his fist. "That was my ex-boyfriend Ian..." I said not looking Wes in the eye. "You had a boyfriend after we broke up?" Wes said shocked.

"Yes," I said feeling kind of bad for not telling him before. "I don't understand...I couldn't be with another girl when we broke up because, all I thought about was you the entire time.." I looked up and he had tears in his eyes.

"Wes you cheated on me remember?" "I know but I didn't know you would get a boyfriend.." "I couldn't stand being alone, I missed you so much. I cried and cried I needed to find happiness again Wes..."

"Happiness? That asshole gave you a black eye!" Wes said throwing his arms up and running his hands through his hair. "Yeah it's funny how people that care about you would hurt you right? You would never expect it," I said tears forming in my eyes.

"I SAID I'M SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPENED ARI! I WAS DRUNK IT DIDN'T MEAN ANYTHING!" "IT STILL HAPPENED WES!" "I KNOW AND IT SHOULDN'T HAVE! I love you can't you see that..." He said walking over to me.

"I know I can be an asshole sometimes, but you are the only girl for me Ari. I love you and only you, what happened with that girl was a dumb mistake I wish never happened. I'm sorry Ari," he said sitting next to me.

I instantly felt bad for making him feel this way, he was tearing himself up over this. Yeah what he did was wrong but, he knows it was wrong and I still love him.

"I forgive you," I said. His head snapped up from his hands and his demeanor changed. "Really?! You don't have to Ari," he said searching for the answer in my eyes.

"Yes really, I can't stay mad forever. Plus you are too damn cute and I missed you," I said chuckling. Seconds later I felt his lips on mine, it felt right. I smiled into the kiss, after a few seconds he pulled away.

The feelings I thought were gone for Wes were back. That kiss we just shared brought all the memories and feelings back. I was most definitely still in love with Wes, and I had never stopped loving him.
