I felt everyone's eyes on me. I kept my head down as usual and didn't make eye contact with anyone.
I'm not sure how I did it, but I could feel whenever someone would look at me.
I continued to walk down the halls of this hell hole. I clenched onto my text books leaving scratches and dents in them.
I was lost.
I couldn't find any of my class rooms.Suddenly I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I flinched and threw my books in the air.
"Woah! Sorry. You're the new girl, Fluorescent?" A girl with short red hair and blue eyes said to me. I nodded and started walking.
"Hey! Wait a second. Are you lost? Do you need help finding your classes?" I nodded. "Oh, well let me see your schedule. " She said with a smile.
"Ha! It looks like you have all the same classes as me! This'll be easy. Just follow me."
I followed close behind her. She was a little taller than me, and I could tell she had a lot of pride.
I didn't look like anyone who went to this high school.
Everyone had light colored hair, and the darkest it got was brown.
I however had jet black hair, pale skin, and purple eyes. Yup, purple eyes.
People said its like that because my mom did a lot of drugs while she was pregnant with me.
"Well, we're here! First class is science. Come sit with me, no one has a seat here." She lead me to this green chair and desk next to her. The desk had names, cuss words and penises carved into it. "Typical." I mumbled.
"What did you say?" The girl asked.
"Oh, nothing." I said still looking down. "You know this whole time I was with you I never heard you talk. Well, my name is Alice, and I'll be your tour guide for Lincoln Highschool." She said with a smile. I laughed quietly which revealed my eyes.
"Woah! Your eyes are awesome! Are they real?" Alice said admiring them.
"Yes, they are, and it's not like I've ever heard that before." I said.
"Well, they are really cool. You know, we will be friends." She said. "O-okay." I said.Soon the teacher walked in. He was an old man with tiny glasses on.
"Hello class, please turn your books to page- ahh I see we have a new comer. Umm, miss Fluorescent, Fluorescent Smith?" I looked up. "Please, come to the front of the classroom.
Oh shit.
I hesitated, but as I stood up I felt every single eye in the room watching me. When I reached to front of the classroom the teacher said, "Well, pleased to meet you! Here are your books, and I see you have already found a seat." I nodded and walked back to Alice.
"Alright class, turn you books to page 364!"*Time skip to end of the day*
The last bell rang and I quickly walked to my locker. I luckily had a top one.
I was surprised to see that Alice's locker was right next to mine.
"I guess it's just meant to be!" Alice said smiling. "Hey, do you have a phone." I nodded.
"Good. I need your number. " I wrote it down and handed it to her.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow, Fluorescent Smith. " She then walked off.
I sighed and waited outside for my "Mom" to pick me up.
As I waited I noticed a boy sitting next to me. He had black hair, a lip piercing and striking bright green eyes. He had black skinny jeans and a Bring Me The Horizon shirt on. I couldn't help but stair, he was gorgeous.
He turned his head to me which made me quickly look down.
"Wow, you're eyes are beautiful, are they real." omfg he's talking to me!
"Um yeah..." I said still looking down. "My name is Jack Spicer, and yours is?"
"F-Fluorescent." I stuttered.
"Well, nice to meet you Fluorescent." He put his hand out. I hesitated but shook it.
"I like your shirt." He said pointing at me. I had a Sleeping With Sirens T-shirt on. "I-I like yours too."
He smiled and so did I."FLUORESCENT! Come on!" I heard my mom yell from her car. I stood up and started walking toward her. "Hey, I'll see you later." Jack said. I smiled and walked away.
