Our Purpose

The Car Crash

Rain was pouring down from the dark gray skies as it was another day, and it was already thundering and raining like usual in forks.

(Y/n) was heading to the school with Edward beside her, he had his jacket over her head to cover her from the rain and doesn't get wet as (Y/n) kept telling him that she's alright and not afraid to get wet.

But of course, he didn't listen or didn't care and kept his jacket over her head, his arm over her waist as he had his other hand above her head so her face doesn't get wet by the rain while he held her close and they head inside the school, finally out of the rain.

(Y/n) gently removed Edward jacket that is wet, thanking him for it with a smile that he return as he took it and had it over his arm as they start heading to their class.

"Come on, Edward. Just talk to her, I know it's hard to control your thirst, but at least talk to her so she doesn't think that you dislike her." (Y/n) said to the young man that is walking beside her.

Edward had finally returned to school after being absent for awhile and not going to school to control his thirst from the scented blood of Bella.

(Y/n) had gotten along with her as she would spend time with (Y/n) and seems to be comfortable around the (h/c) haired woman.

"I know, I know. I'll try my best but it's just difficult cause I'm not able to read her mind like you but she's human and not your kind." Edward said, sighing as he frowned, feeling annoyed and curious of what's going on in the new student is mind since he isn't able to read her mind like everyone in this school.

"I know, it can be frustrated, but please bear with it and talk to her when we get to class, okay?" She told him, smiling as she took his hand, giving it a squeeze and he return the smile with a loving one as he give one squeeze back to her, nodding as he stand beside her close.

"Alright, I'll do it for you, though."

This had (Y/n) to smiled softly at him which he return gently as they went inside the classroom which had their hands separate and this caused Edward to miss her warm touch on his cold skin as he put his drenched jacket on the coat hanger to have it dry.

She went over to her seat, sitting down on the chair that is next to the other table that Edward is in as she glance over at him who already looked over at her, giving her a gentle grin which she return with a soft one.

But (Y/n) then turn to see Bella coming inside the classroom coming inside with eric, the guy that showed bella around when she first came in this school "prom committee is a chick thing, but i gotta cover it for the paper anyway, and they need a guy to help choose the music, so i need your play list." He said to her as bella put her hoodie on the coat hanger as it was raining and thundering outside.

"Hey, listen, i was wondering did you have a date to..." eric tried to ask bella out only to be interrupted when Mike came in, shaking his hat that is wet from the rain on bella's head, who chuckled of seeing this."What's up, arizona? Huh? How you liking the rain, girl? better get used to it, girl." Mike put his hat on the coat hanger, then his jacket and (Y/n) shake her head, scoffing lightly as she grinned a bit in amusement.

"Yeah, Mike, hey, you're real cute, man." Eric said sarcastically as he was annoyed that his friend interrupted him as bella let her two friends bicker then she first looked for (Y/n) where she is seated and smiled softly of seeing the familiar (h/c) woman that she was looking forward to seeing today, (Y/n) give a small wave to the brown haired teenager who waved back with a shy smile but when she looked over at her table, she was stun to see Edward, didn't expect to see him after him being absent for awhile.

Edward expression becomes nonchalant. He then exhales deeply and quietly to control himself as she comes over and sits down on the seat beside Edward, placing her backpack down on the floor beside her.
