Engfa was holding Charlotte's warm body against her chest, holding her in her arms. She slightly bent her head towards Charlotte's hair, burying her nose in her scent. After taking a deep breath, she asked in a slightly authoritative but soft tone:
"Charlotte, it's time to think. Where would you like to live? Will you stay with me at Wahara Castle or would you like to have a place of our own?"
Charlotte was leaning against Engfa's strong chest, and as always, this dominant tone made her feel both peaceful and uneasy. She swallowed lightly, a little thoughtful. She raised her head from Engfa's chest, looked at him, but could not give a full answer.
"I... I can be with you anywhere, Engfa," he said, his voice a little shy but sincere. "But not everyone in Wahara Castle is exactly warm to me. I don't know if I'd feel at home there."
Charlotte's words sent a wave of sadness through Engfa. He knew that he would be happy wherever Charlotte was by his side, but he couldn't ignore the difficulties in Wahara Castle. Yet, he didn't show this feeling to her. His eyes looked at Charlotte with determination, and he pulled her tighter into his arms.
"This is our home now, Charlotte," Engfa said, his voice firm and reassuring. "You are my wife now. Myx, my mother and my grandmother are always by our side, don't forget that."
Charlotte nodded slightly, Engfa's words had put her at ease a bit, but she still had some reservations inside her. She averted her eyes and whispered quietly: "I know, but... Your father? I'm still afraid of him."
Engfa felt a surge of nerves at the mention of her father's name. She clenched her jaw slightly, but quickly pulled herself together. She didn't want to appear harsh to Charlotte. She took a deep breath, her eyes full of determination.
"You don't have to be afraid of him," he said, his voice a little harsher, but with a protective, loving tone. "My father has no say in this anymore. I'll take care of him, I promise you. I'll never let him hurt you."
Engfa looked at Charlotte, stroking her hair, and smiled. "Let's take a bath," she said. She slowly got up, then pulled Charlotte with her. But as soon as Charlotte got up, she couldn't find her balance for a moment, her knees shook. She felt a slight ache between her legs and in her groin, and this pain made her let out a small groan. Unable to resist, she leaned back on Engfa's lap. Engfa immediately understood what had happened to her, and a sweet smile appeared on her face.
"I told you not to push yourself so hard," Engfa said with a sweet reproach.
Charlotte wrapped her arms around Engfa's neck, embarrassed and ashamed. "I know... but what can I do?" she whispered. "I want you."
Engfa smiled at Charlotte's sincere confession and patted her on the shoulder. "You're a vampire," he said. "Why don't you heal yourself? I can cast a spell if you want."
Charlotte immediately stopped Engfa, lowering her head shyly. "No... I... didn't want to heal myself," she mumbled. "I... even want to experience the pain of this moment."
Engfa felt warm inside, and love and compassion shone in her eyes. He kissed her gently on the forehead. "Then I will heal you myself," he said softly. "Without magic or power. Only with love... what do you say?"
Charlotte relaxed a little more with Engfa's words, smiled and nodded slightly. "I'll gladly accept that," she said.
Engfa wasted no time in taking Charlotte into her arms, gently holding her, and slowly walked towards the bathroom. As she approached the tub, she used her magic to heat the water and a soothing scent and herbal essence began to fill the tub. A peaceful, relaxing aroma filled the room.
