Charlotte and Engfa rested silently in each other's warmth. Engfa's delicate fingers brushed over Charlotte's shoulders, their touch soft yet reassuring. Charlotte leaned her head on Engfa's chest, listening to his steady, calm heartbeat. This rhythmic sound filled Charlotte with peace. Each beat seemed to whisper to her that she was safe with Engfa.

Charlotte closed her eyes in deep happiness as she relaxed in Engfa's arms. Breaking the silence for a moment, she murmured, "Hearing your heartbeat always calms me down."

Engfa smiled and kissed Charlotte's hair, whispering, "Everything is better with you, my love."

Engfa took a deep breath as she continued to stroke Charlotte's hair and spoke softly. "You scared me so much, Charlotte," she said with a slight tremor. "You lost control... and I... I didn't know what to do." A shy expression crossed her face, and she averted her eyes from Charlotte. "I think... the whole castle witnessed what happened," she added, smiling slightly, embarrassed.

Charlotte felt a pang of sadness when she saw Engfa in this state, and she raised her head to look into his eyes. "I'm sorry," she said quietly. "I... I was jealous of you. I couldn't control myself." Her voice was trembling, and regret and shame were obvious.

Engfa smiled slightly when he saw the regret in Charlotte's eyes and pulled her back to him. "Okay, I understand," he said in a soothing tone. "But you are always unique to me, don't forget that."

Charlotte stared at Engfa's face, a slightly mischievous smile on her lips. "What if I had an obsession from the past?" she asked softly. "A powerful vampire lord or prince... how would you react?"

As soon as he heard this question, Engfa's expression suddenly changed. For a moment, jealousy and possessiveness flashed in his eyes, and his blood began to boil. He asked with a slight hiss through his teeth, "Is there such a person?"

Charlotte shook her head, laughing. "No, but what would you do if I did?"

Engfa tried to pull herself together in the face of Charlotte's provocative question, but the possessiveness inside her was becoming uncontrollable. She tried to control it by clenching her hands into fists, but she realized that she was shaking. "I... I don't know, Charlotte," she said with difficulty. "If something like that happens, I really... don't know."

Charlotte smiled at Engfa's reaction and bowed her head. "I think you would feel the same way, Engfa. I was as scared as you were. The thought of losing you is unbearable."

Engfa took a deep breath and hugged Charlotte tighter, trying to calm herself down. "I will never lose you. Know that."

Engfa took a deep breath, his eyes sparkling with determination as he stroked Charlotte's hair. "I will take all necessary precautions for Elysandra, my love. Don't worry," he said, his voice full of confidence. As Charlotte looked at him, the anxiety inside her slowly subsided. Engfa's strong presence made everything safer.

"Now let's focus on the upcoming ball," Engfa added, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "But..." she said, looking into Charlotte's eyes, "after I've rested a bit."

Charlotte smiled slightly as well and relaxed in Engfa's arms. "Yes," Charlotte said in a tired but peaceful voice, "it will be good to get some rest."

Engfa pulled Charlotte closer to him, as if he were afraid to let her go. Charlotte hugged him back. They both breathed in each other's scent, lost in the reassuring warmth of the moment. "I love you so much," Charlotte whispered, closing her eyes.

"I love you too," Engfa replied, placing a gentle kiss on Charlotte's forehead. As both of their eyes slowly closed, the night began to take them in for a sweet sleep. They fell into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other's arms in bed, the chaos and anxiety of the day giving way to a deep peace.
