"Loserrrr!" Y/n laughed as she gathered up the deck of playing cards scattered on the floor of the carriage.

"Ugh, again?!" Gabi grumbled as she watched y/n clumsily shuffle the cards before dishing them out between herself, Gabi, and falco.

"Old maid?" She asked, earning nods from the two kids as she grinned.

Levi stared at the three of them as they played, a sour expression on his bandaged face as they laughed with each other.

His eyes trailed down to the Y/n's leg where he knew there was a bandage under her black uniform trousers.
She had her injured leg outstretched while the other was propped up for her wrists to lean on as she held her playing cards.

His frown deepened as an uneasy feeling made his chest tighten.

Y/n stared blankly at falco as she held her cards out to him, watching as he began to sweat, trying to choose a card from her hand before eventually deciding and turning to gabi.

Gabi's eye twitched as she chose a card from Falco. She then turned to Y/n.

Smirking, y/n chose from Gabis final two cards, turning it over to see the 2 of diamonds, making Gabi groan and throw the jester card down in frustration.

"I always lose!" She huffed, dragging her hands down her face as Falco laughed awkwardly.

"You wanna play, levi?" Y/n glanced at him as she shuffled the cards. "It might give Gabi a chance to win."

Levi glared at her, unamused as she cackled with laughter.
"Ha ha." He rolled his eyes. "No, I don't."

Y/n rolled her eyes in turn, shrugging as she said, "Suit yourself grumpy bum."

Levi watched the three of them playing cards for the rest of journey, and not once did Gabi win against Y/n or Falco, eventually she copped out, leaving the other two to play a very boring game of go fish.

"I really am sorry.." gabi muttered as she shuffled closer to levi, her voice almost drowned out by Y/n's enthusiasm.

Levi looked to the young girl from the corner of his eye, sighing through his nose.

"Don't be." He said snappishly.

Gabi's eyebrows furrowed as she pulled her knees to her chest, eyes feeling with tears.

Taking a deep breath, levi reached out and placed his injured hand on to Gabi's head.
"You did what you had to do, they let their guards down." He said quietly. "This is war. People die."

"Have you ever killed anyone?" Gabi sniffled. "Before the war I mean.."

Levi almost chuckled, snorting slightly.
"More than I can count. So has she." He jerked his head towards Y/n. "You aren't any different from us. It would be weird if you hadn't killed anyone."

Gabi looked to Y/n, watching the woman as she laughed with Falco. Her injured body still seemed powerful in the most ethereal way possible. Gabi could feel a swell of admiration in her chest as well as some annoyance.

"How is she so.."

"Cheery?" Levi scoffed. "Not a fucking clue."

Eventually the carriage stopped as they reached the port, everybody else clambering off of their carriages and getting ready to take action.

"You guys stay here." Hange instructed them. "We need you in peak condition to take down eren. No point risking it all here."

"Risk? Floch?" Y/n cackled, throwing her head back as everyone else deadpanned.
"The scariest thing about his is his haircut."

Jean and Reiner snorted behind their hands, doing their best to stiffle their laughs despite their shaking shoulders.

"Anyway-" Hange continued. "Keep an eye on these two." She said to gabi and falco, making y/n gasp in offence.

"Bitch." Y/n grumbled, slamming down her cards as the group made their way down to the port, leaving the four alone once again.

"Well, what do we do now?" She asked leaning against the side of the carriage.

It fell silent for a moment before Gabi spoke up.

"Can you tell us how you two met!?" She asked enthusiastically, Falco quickly agreeing.

"Hmm, if I recall the first time I met this asshole, he broke my nose." Y/n said smugly, smirking towards levi as Gabi and Falco gasped.

"WHY!?"

"It was a training session." Levi rolled his eye. "And I'm pretty sure you said it was just bruised?"

Y/n chuckled and shook her head. "I just told Isabelle that to make her feel better. I think she might have murdered you ik your sleep if she knew you broke it."

Levi snorted. "Okay little miss 'I've felt worse pain'."

Y/n's jaw dropped, he face heating up and freezing at the same time.
"OH MY GOD SHE TOLD YOU I SAID THAT!?"

"Oh yeah," levi retorted. "Renacted your face and everything."

"AHHHHHHHH! STOPPP!" Y/n squealed, laughing hysterically but also hiding her face in embarrassment.
"I WAS NINETEEN LEAVE ME ALONEEE!"

"Remeber the time I gave you a box of sugar for your tea and you almost had a heart palpitation!?"

Gabi and falco watched as the two soldiers reminisced on their time together, smiling as they accidentally made eye contact with each other, their faces turning red.

"Wait a minute," Falco spoke up. "Who's isabelle?"
