"DONT YOU DARE!" Y/n yelled, gripping at Falco and Gabi's clothing as they tried to clamber out of the carriage they had been sitting in for the past day and a half.

"They need our help!" Gabi said, practically pleading as she and falco tried to pry their clothes from the much stronger woman's grip.

"They do not!" Y/n protested, just as a loud Titan roar stole her attention, giving the two preteens a chance to escape.
"Hey!" Her attempts of getting up to run after them were foiled by the gunshot wound in her leg, which caused her to fall face first out of the carriage and into the dry dirt.

"Are you okay?" Levi asked as y/n pulled herself up, using the carriage as an aid.

"Yeah.." she sighed, hauling herself back into the carriage and butt shuffling back over beside him.

Levi furrowed his brows, watching as she brushed dirt from her now slightly scratched face.
"How are you going to fight if you can't even run after two beats?"

Y/n scoffed in response, looking up and down his fully bandaged body, still sat in the same position hange had propped him up in previously.

"Says you." She retorted, earning an eye roll in response. "I may not be able to stand but I can still use ODM gear...probably."

The two of them glanced back at the insane titan fight going on behind them at the dock, frowns pulling at both of their faces.

"I have this weird feeling I'm my tum." Y/n said suddenly. "Like, cramping but in a weird way..."

"You're nervous." A deep, feminine voice called.

"Oh, I forgot you two were here." Y/n snorted as she glanced to the other carriage a few feet away where Yelena and Onyankapon were tied up, making Onyankapon laugh sheepishly.

"And I'm not nervous, what's there to be nervous about?" Y/n rolled her eyes

Yelena chuckled slightly, still looking at her lap.
"I forgot, you're the strongest woman in the survey corps." Y/n and Levi glowered at her.
"The biggest battle of your career shouldn't scare little old you, even in your shape."

Y/n scoffed, crossing her arms tightly over her chest, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her thigh.
"Mikasa is way stronger than me." She corrected.

"But she's only been in the fight for a few years." Yelana replied. "You've been doing this what? Over a decade? Lucks fading Y/n."

Levi trailed his glance over to Y/n, studying her face intently. She had an annoyed scorn on her face, mostly due to Yelana's smug attitude, but otherwise she seemed pretty unbothered.

"Get off my back bitch." Y/n huffed, looking back to the battle at hand just as Hange came running up the hill towards them.

"CMON WE GOTTA HURRY!!!"

Y/n sighed contently as she sat on the end of Falco's bed, where he had been laying unconscious for the last few hours since his first real transformation into his titan form.
She gently reached up and touched his burning forehead, frowning slightly at the heat.

"He's got a fever but it should go down quickly, titan healing and all." She muttered, turning to Gabi who was sitting in a chair close by, wanting a solemn nod from the girl.

"Hey, he will be okay Gabi." Y/n assured her, reaching forward to place a hand on her knee as silenced washed over them.

The slight turbulence of the ocean waves rocked them slightly, the ship they were in creaking eerily as they sat in the dimly lit room, oil lantern humming slightly on the bedside table.

"I'm sorry we ran off, it was a bad idea." Gabi whispered, gripping the fabric of her dress so tightly her knuckles turned white.

Y/n sighed, reeling back.
"You say sorry a lot, but you never make different decisions." Gabi whipped her head up, lips parted as she searched for what to say.

"Which means, you think you did the right decision." Y/n said with a grin. "I can't fault you for doing what you think is best."

Gabi stared at her, tears welling in her big brown eyes.
"But seriously." Y/n got to her feet, putting al her weight on her good leg as her hand gripped Gabi's face, not roughly but rather tight, squeezing her cheeks together.
"You WILL be staying on this ship until we're done with Eren."

Gabi attempted to protest, but Y/n's glaring look made her falter for a moment, giving them just enough time to hear a pained groan come from Falco.

"Falco!" Gabi cried as she leapt to her feet, Y/n perching back down on the edge of the bed.
"You're awake!"

Falco groaned slightly as he opened his eyes, hand flying up to grip his bandaged head in agony.
"God..what happened?" He rasped out, Gabi panickedly helping him get a glass of water.

"Falco," y/n started. "Do you remember anything?" The blond shook his head gently, wincing.

Y/n and Gabi glanced at each other, both bracing to have to tell him the truth about how he'd become the holder of the Jaw titan. How his brother had died.

Falco's wailing screams filled the room as he clawed onto Gabi, the two of them sobbing into each other's arms in response to what they'd told him.

Y/n had left the room to give them a moment, closing the door gently behind her as she grabbed her crutches, limping her way up the rocking ship with a pit in her stomach.

Eventually, she made her way up onto the deck, rejoining everyone else as they rapidly approached land.

The sight was unholy.

Billowing clouds of steam had caused the sky to go foggy, rising in the distance.
Yes, the approach was slow and pretty far away, but the march of the colossal titans was unwavering as they grew closer and closer.

"Will we be able to do this in time?" Y/n asked as they docked up, everyone hurriedly filing off of the ship and onto the dock, the sun beginning to rise in the distance, casting a red hue over the sky that seemed more morbid than ever before.

"I sure hope so.." Hange whispered as the engineers ran off to the warehouse with the flying boat.

Quickly, everyone followed after the Azumabito engineers, whispering hurriedly amongst each other.

"Are you sure you aren't coming Annie?"

Levi Y/n glanced up at the 104th crew, from Their spot sitting on two wooden crates as they watched the interaction.

"Yeah.." Annie whispered awkwardly, feeling all of the eyes on her.

"Annie's fought enough." Armin smiled sadly, the rest of the cadets agreeing as Levi scoffed beside Y/n.

She seemed to be the only one who heard it, luckily, and she reached over to grip his hand tightly, smiling at him gently as he squeezed back.

Everyone said their, mostly, cheerful goodbyes to Annie as she boarded the ship and retreated below Deck to check on Gabi and Falco.

Lady Azumabito did the opposite, retreating from the ship and approaching them, though her gaze never left the approaching steam cloud in the distance.

"Y/n!" Hange called from inside the warehouse, waving her over enthusiastically.

"I'll be back." She said to levi quietly, grabbing her cutches and hobbling over to hange as quick as she could.
