"I just want to reach that cellar." Erwin said, sitting down on a crate as Levi hovered over him, staring sorrowful down at the shell of a man before him.

"Can you see them?" Erwin asks. "Our comrades have been with us all this time, wanting to see what we've made of their sacrifices."

Levi bit his tongue, imagining the faces of his friends. His squad. Isabelle and Furlan. Their blurry faces.

Another explosion of rock caused screaming behind them, followed by Y/n yelling at the cadets to stay calm.

"You must know that I still love her." Erwin laughed, smiling sadly as he looked past levi ad at y/n who was dramatically ordering around the cadets who listened to her fearfully.
"She never felt the same, no matter how hard I tried or how many times I saved her life."

Levi furrowed his brows at Erwin, clenching his fists. He had known that Erwin felt that way from the very first day he joined the Survey Corps, but the fact had slipped his mind completely by the time he had actually realised his feelings to Y/n.

"You're a very lucky man, Levi." Erwin's eyes drooped, his impending death looming over his shoulders.
"If you both live after today, take care of her."

Levi stared silently at him before dropping to one knee, staring at the ground between Erwin's feet.

"You lead us well, no one could have gotten us this far. Give up on your dream and march to your death." He glared up at him.

"Lead those crying children straight into hell. Y/n and I will charge the beast titan and take him down."

Erwin stared at him in surprise before a sad smile graced his features, eyes glossy.

"ANY PLAN YET ERWIN?!" Y/n yelled, multiple teenagers clung to her and crying loudly.
"IM BEING SOAKED IN TEARS!"

Levi and erwin both glanced at her before levi turned back to him.
"She cares about you, this plan isn't going to go down easy with her, so you need to make up a story."

Levi stood to his feet, turning to walk towards y/n.

"And, you're right, I am lucky, which is why I'm going to treasure her until the day I die."

"You need me to stand alone on the right side and wait for a green flare?" Y/n laughed in disbelief, staring up at Erwin.

"Yes." He nodded firmly, Levi standing behind y/n shaking his head in annoyance.

"And then I need to start taking out the titans and make my way towards the beast titan without being seen?"

Erwin nodded again.

Y/n couldn't even begin to fathom the orders despite having just repeated them as she looked over her shoulder at levi, face scrunched up in confusion.

Levi only nodded at her like Erwin had, making her yell in frustration, gripping at her hair.

"I swear!" She begin to march past the cadets. "No one tells me anything!"

Levi and Erwin looked at each other in surprise, nodding satisfactorily at each other.
"That went rather well."

Y/n dangled from the wall, awaiting signal from Erwin as she kicked at the surface of the wall, swords in hand.

Her eyes were completely fixed on the line of titans not far from her, creating a clear path of ODM gear perches directly up to either side of the beast titan where she would ambush him with levi.
