Jessica made her way up the two flights of stairs where her chambers lay. But instead of walking into her own, she headed down the end of the hall to Aegon's.

"Your Grace..." Maester Orwyle was a few paces behind her. "I am quite certain that the Prince Regent insists you rest in your own bed."

Jessica took a breath while the guard rested his hand on the handle. "Aemond can insist until the sky runs red. I want to see my brother."

Jessica nodded to the guard who opened the door and she saw herself inside.

Jessica walked over touching the Valyrian model before going over to the bed. Aegon was asleep, peacefully from what Jessica could tell, what she hoped.

She stood at the foot of the bed, watching his chest rise and fall. Her hands rested against the foot of the bed taking a breath and pushed the nausea down.

"You look like death." Aegon smiled weakly, his voice hoarse.

Jessica's head snapped up. She gave a sad smile. "I'll live."

"I bed pardon, Your Grace." Maester Orwyle came to Aegon's side. "I am supposed to be escorting the Queen Regent to bed. There's a few tests I would like to run on Her Grace."

"Aemond named you Queen?" His voice was filled with confusion, but a smile played on his lips. "I can't - I mean...it does suit you. You the Queen and I the King we'd..."

Maester Orwyle gently looked over his wounds. "Your Grace, please..."

Aegon winced but adjusted. "Right. Right. You said a bed. Well there's an entire side not being used. So Jess come lay down."

Jessica smiled and shook her head. "You need rest, My King."

"And apparently so do you." Aegon held up the blankets. "So, My Queen, come and join me."

Jessica let out a breath, then crossed to the empty side of the bed and joined Aegon.

Once Jessica had settled Maester Orwyle came over to her side. He gently positioned her better. Orwyle felt around her breasts. first before prodding around her stomach.

Maester Orwyle noticed several tender spots. "Now I know you've had the nausea, Your Grace. Have you been more fatigued as of late?"

Jessica nodded almost instantly. "Yes, Maester. I've also been up more frequently to make water."

Master Orwyle nodded. "You're tender in several spots, Your Grace, any extreme moods?"

Jessica laughed. "You see the boys, and the council I put up with."

"Hey!" Aegon smiled over at her.

Maester Orwyle smiled. "I do, Your Grace."

Maester Orwyle stood and dipped his hands in water. "I want to do an internal check, Your Grace. If we could retreat back to your chambers."

"You can do it here." Aegon interjected quickly.

Maester Orwyle gave her a look but Jess simply sighed. "It's fine, Maester."

Jessica settled back on the pillows, and pulled her knees up making things easier for the Maester.

Her hands were folded on her stomach when Aegon reached over and took one of her hand.

Jessica turned her head to look at him. Aegon smiled and brought her hand up to his lips and placed a kiss. He was trying to keep her distracted while Maester Orwyle poked and prodded her.
