Jessica and Aemond landed in their usual field near the Dragon's Gate. Aemond all but flew down, off Vhagar and over to Jessica.

Jessica hadn't even fully dismounted when Aemond grabbed her and pulled her to his chest. Jessica didn't even fight it, just nuzzled against him.

Aemond finally pulled her back enough to look at her. "You are never doing that again! Do you understand me Jesscareya?! I was frightened to my core. I swore up and down that I lost you."

Jessica could only nod, pulling her husband close, taking in his warmth, his scent, everything about him. Aemond was shaking horribly no doubt the past week had unnerved him.

Jessica was more relieved than she cared to admit when she entered the safety of the Red Keep. Her and Aemond walked hand in hand up the stairs.

Jasper Ironrod joined them as they headed towards the chambers. "It appears that the Pretender sent boats to collect those among the smallfolk who believed they had any drop of Targaryen blood."

Aemond pulled Jessica closer to him. "Deception and subterfuge. Cowards, all of them. Put an end to this madness. Let no vessel come or go from our harbor without our inspection."

Jessica sighed and looked up at him. "This will hinder the work of the fishing boats, My Love. The people depend on them for sustenance."

Aemond looked down and kissed her forehead. "They will need no sustenance if they are slaughtered by the enemy. We must all make our sacrifices."

Aemond ushered Jessica into Helaena's chambers. Helaena just looked up and she was up and over to Jessica,  squeezing her tightly. "Sister."

Alicent pulled her into her embrace once Helaena let go. "Oh Sweet Girl."

Aemond folded his hands. "Helaena. Here you are. Mother."

Helaena looked to Aemond. "I was just going to bed."

Aemond's hands rested on Blackfyre. "The crown has need of your service."

Alicent narrowed her eyes and she pulled away from Jess towards her son. "Now?"

Aemond remaid as he was. "The Pretender has raised new riders against us, and we must answer in kind. I need you to fly with Dreamfyre to battle."

Jessica sighed. "My Love." She tried to soothe.

Anger began to rise in Alicent. "Aemond."

Helaena shook her head. "I do not wish to fight."

Aemond pressed on. "Our wishes must take second place now to what is necessary to preserve the throne."

Helaena stood. "I won't burn anyone."

Aemond stared at her for a moment before clicking his tongue. "It isn't a question."

Aemond took two strides over to Helaena taking her by the wrist and began dragging her to the door. "They have defiled our birthright, made commoners into dragonlords!"

Helaena was clearly in pain. "Ow, ow!"

Alicent quickly moved trying to separate them both. "Aemond! Aemond!"

Aemond was still tying to head toward the door. "It is a sin and it must be punished!"

Alicent managed to pull them to a stop. "May I remind you that your sister is still the queen?"

Helaena whimpered. "Ow!"

It was the that Jessica moved, wedging herself between Helaena and Aemond. She grabbed onto both of Aemond's arms to physically stop him from moving. "My Love, please."
