The last several weeks seemed to move in a blink of an eye. Viserys had seemed to be alive by sheer will alone. He told Jessica every morning that he would see her get married.

The festivities had kicked off. There had been a joust. Daemon had even participated in it, even if it was just to rematch Ser Criston Cole. The feasts were huge. Every lord and lady across the realm had been invited and accepted the invitation.

Jessica had retired from a feast that was still loudly going on. The tailors were making final adjustments on her wedding gown.

The gown itself was a beautiful silver material, with diamonds and beading laced through. It almost matched perfectly to the silver of her hair, leaving the pop of color in her lilac eyes.

Jessica looked like starlight itself.

She wasn't paying attention when the door opened. She had been admiring the lace details on the sleeves.

"You look beautiful." Alicent smiled and closed the door behind her.

Jessica jumped and turned to Alicent. She gave a bow of her head. "Your Grace."

Alicent sighed, folding her hands and giving a shake of her head. "I didn't mean to frighten you Jessica."

Jessica watched as Alicent crossed over to her. She reached over and took both her hands.

"That night on Driftmark. Oh, Jessica I've never regretted anything more. I never meant to hurt you. I know that you were only trying to protect Jace and Luke. And I should never have struck you. And for that I am truly, truly sorry."

Alicent kissed her forehead, bringing Jessica into her embrace. It took a moment, but Jessica did embrace Alicent.

Alicent held her tightly. "I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that you are home. In the few short weeks since you've returned Helaena has been more alive, brighter. I don't think I've ever seen Aemond happier...and Aegon. I can't believe I'm saying this but Aegon is an entirely different person. And I know it's because you're here. We've all missed you so, so much Sweet Girl."

The door opened, and Rhaenyra showed herself in. Rhaenyra smiled. "There you are, now don't you look beautiful."

Rhaenyra came over and took Jessica out of Alicent's arms and hugged her tightly.
Rhaenyra leaned down and whispered in her ear. "He's pouting, Jess."

Jessica pulled back and gave a nod. She excused herself and changed. As soon as that was done, she made her way to Daemon's chambers.

Daemon was sitting by the fire, cup of wine in hand. Jessica crossed over to him, taking the cup and setting it down on the table before curling into his lap.
Daemon's arms were immediately around her, and he buried his face in her hair.

Jessica missed this more than she thought, and she clung to him as she used to when she was a young child.

"I love you." Daemon murmured.

Jessica nuzzled against him. "And I love you."

Daemon's nose brushed against hers."You won't have to worry about tomorrow My Love."

Jessica glanced up at him "What's going on in that mind of yours?"

Daemon smirked,  mischief danced in his eyes. "Nothing good My Love."

Jessica smiled, tears threatening to appear. "I'll miss this when you and Nyra return to Dragonstone."

"And who's to say you won't be there?"

Jessica sighed and rested her forehead against his chin. "You know you can't stop this wedding."
