"Aspen are you ready yet?! It's time to go!"What is she doing?It's been an hour since I told her that we needed to get ready and going.
"Sorry dad my hair was not doing anything I wanted it to do"
"Thats okay,are your suit cases in the car?"
"Yup all ready to go."
It was mainly silent on the way to the airport other then occasional , I'll miss you,or I will call and text you.Aspen once in a while mentioned how different it is in paris compared to Florida.But by the time we get through all of that it's time for me to drop of Aspen at the departures.
"I'll miss you kiddo, remember stay away from suspicious looking people and listen to the flight attendants emergency directions."
"Okay dad."
"Oh and say hi to your mother for me."
"I will dad,I'm really going to miss you."
"I know you will but you'll have fun, bye sweetheart."
Aspen gave me a quick hug,waved,and walked off with a smile on her face.I didn't know that in the next 6 hours I would get a call a parent never wants to get.
