~Kat's POV~
After the bouncy house everyone went to the ball pit. All but Ally. "Hey pumkin why aren't you playing?" I asked her. "I wanted to ask you something." She said quietly. "Anything for you honey." I said. "Can you sing for me? Please!" "Honey, I can't sing good. But I can play some music." "No! Momma got a karaoke machine so you could sing for me." I looked over to the garage and see my mom plugging up the radio. Great. I have to sing in front of Chandler so he can run off and laugh at me. "I guess I will. But only for you." She smiled. I looked at Chandler and he was smiling too. I went to sing and everyone surrounded me. "Well what song?" "the climb!!" Everyone yelled out. Okay. Here goes ruining my best relationship.
I can almost see it. That dream I'm dreaming but. There's a voice inside my head saying. You'll never reach it.
After that song everyone kept telling me to keep singing. I sang a little bit more. And then I stopped for a break and played good singers music. I walk up to Chandler. "Okay. You can run off now." I say. "Why would I run? Your voice is amazing. Beautiful, just like you." He said. I looked at him. Looked back down and blushed and covered my face. My dad runs outside and starts yelling. Oh no. Here it goes. He went up to Ally. The 'fresh meat' and was about to hit her. Chandlers eyes widened and I ran up and jumped in front of her. His hand hit my face really hard. Harder than the first time he hit me. I fell over on my side and he started yelling at me. All the kids were hiding in the bouncy house and Chandler didn't know what else to do so he calmed them all down. And stayed over there. Looking at me. Worried. He didn't know about this. Other than that day Ally asked if my dad beat me. I stood back up and stood in front of Ally. I whispered to her it'll be okay pumkin. Don't worry. I'm fine. Go stand by Chandler. My dad went to hit me again but I grabbed his wrist. "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU BEATING US. YOU ARE NO MAN! NOT IN ANYWAY. YOU DON'T DESERVE THIS FAMILY'S LOVE! OR RESPECT!" I was furious. He was now backing up. He was scared of me. I don't know how. But I guess everyone was. I glanced over at Ally and she was scared and crying. "You need to go" I said to him strictly. He went inside. I don't know where but he didn't talk to me for the rest of the day. I went to Ally and she looked at me like she had never seen me before. I backed up a little and went to walk inside. I looked down. And turned. I started walking away but she grabbed my finger. "Is he gone now?" She surprised me. I turned around and gave her a hug. She hugged me tightly. "Hopefully he is." I said back. Later after her friends left. Her and Chandler were playing tag in the yard and I went inside for a minute. My mom hugged me thankful that I took up for Ally. I smiled hugged her back and walked up stairs looking for him. He was packing. Good. "What do you want?" He snapped. "You, to leave." I snapped back. "Your wish, is my command. I'm out of here now. Bye." He snapped back.
He left. And I went to lay down. I woke up from my nap and someone was sitting by me holding my had. I couldn't see who. I was tired. Of everything. Especially my dad. I was done with that. I sat up and Chandler was the one holding my hand. I laid my head on his shoulder.
