The Land of Narnia ~ Aslan's Camp ~ Late Morning

After Edmund's nap, which didn't take long, Peter gave him a different outfit to change into. As Edmund was changing in the tent, Peter, Susan, Lucy, Sammy and I sat at the breakfast table which was low enough so we could sit on the ground and eat.

Edmund walked up toward us, his face looking a lot better after having a little bit of sleep. He sat down next to Lucy and I. When he saw the food on the table, he instantly grabbed some toast.

He bit into it, and ate the whole thing in almost one bite. I noted unfortunately that he looked cute eating toast.

"Narnia's not going to run out of toast, Ed." Lucy said, as she watched Edmund eat.

Edmund smiled at Lucy, a real genuine smile. Lucy smiled back, grateful that his old self back.

"I'm sure they'll pack something up for the journey back." Peter said, as he stood by a large boulder, holding a cup of water.

"We're going home?" Susan asked, astonished.

"But we just got here!" I protested lightly.

"You are." Peter said, walking up to us, and sitting down. "I promised Mum I'd keep you five safe. But it doesn't mean I can't stay behind and help."

"But they need us." Lucy said plainly. "All six of us."

"Lucy, it's too dangerous. You and Sammy almost drowned! Edmund was almost killed!"

"Which is why we have to stay." Edmund mumbled, looking at his hands.

Peter looked at him, surprised.

"I've seen what the White Witch can do. And I've helped her do it." Edmund explained further. Now we were all looking at him. "We can't leave these people behind to suffer for it." Lucy grabbed Edmund's hand.

"I suppose that's it then." Susan said, as she stood up, and walked over to her bow and arrows which were right next to mine and Lucy's dagger and cordial.

"Where are you going?" Peter asked, mirroring all of our thoughts.

"To get in some practice." Susan said, smiling, as she walked off with her bow and arrows.

I stood up too, and grabbed mine as well, and started to follow her. Lucy was right behind me.

I heard the boys talking a little before they left the table, and got their swords to practice too.

The Land of Narnia ~ Training Field ~ Day

Susan, Lucy, Sammy and I stood at a target shooting range area to practice at. Sammy was lying down, keeping guard. I think he was waiting for an animal to come into the field to practice fighting. He would need it. I had little to no experience.

I was already good with a bow and arrow, so I knew it would be long for me to get better than before. I had made a bow and arrow set, when I was younger, and had shot arrows at the trees in the Pevensie's backyard. I had pretty good aim, but since I hadn't done it in years, I knew I would be a bit rusty.

Susan had never done archery, and Lucy had never owned a dagger before. I taught Susan the little bit that I knew, and she shot an arrow, and it landed right in between the white and the black circle of the target.

Susan had a un-content frown on her face, so I shot my arrow. It found a home almost in the direct middle.

I smiled at Susan and Lucy, and then Lucy smirked as she grabbed her dagger, and tossed it.

It landed directly in the middle.

The three of us chuckled at our practice so far. Suddenly, we heard horses neighing, and hoof beats to our left. We looked over and saw Edmund and Peter on horses, holding swords.

"Come on, Ed! Sword point up, like Oreius showed us!" Peter shouted to Edmund.

We stopped our practice to watch them. It was a great sight to see the brothers together again. I saw Sammy fighting with a both a bear and a cheetah, and Sammy seemed to be winning. That collar did come in handy.

"En garde!" Edmund said mockingly.

"Now block!" Peter replied, as they swung their swords, practicing fighting for the real thing.

"Hey!" Edmund said, as Peter stopped.

They turned their horses around, and I saw Mr. Beaver calling their names.

"Peter! Edmund!" He shouted.

Edmund's horse reared, neighing at the sudden noise. I knew horses did that when they were frightened. Horses were easily spooked. That's why it's best to approach them where they can see you.

"Whoa, horsie!" Edmund said. I chuckled at his remark, as did Lucy.

When the horse returned to the ground, it spoke in a low voice.

"My name is Phillip." He answered.

"Oh, sorry." Edmund replied.

"The Witch has demanded a meeting with Aslan!" Mr. Beaver continued.

Edmund turned to look at Peter worriedly.

"She's on her way here!" Mr. Beaver added.

Edmund and I made eye contact. He looked worried; it was the White Witch, after all. The one who tortured and hurt Edmund mentally and physically. They rode their horses back to where they rest, and came back. The seven of us ran to the main camp, to see what would happen.
