The Land of Narnia ~ Aslan's Camp ~ Day
We found our way to the front of the crowd, and heard the same dwarf from before shouting.
"Jadis, the Queen of Narnia!"
I shook my head. That's wrong. Aslan is the rightful ruler!
Edmund looked nervous, having to see the White Witch again. I couldn't blame him. I hadn't seen what she'd done to him, but it was bad.
A cheetah was crossing the pathway, and ended up on the other side safely.
The Witch sat on top of a throne-like thing that four ugly one eyed creatures held up.
"Go away, Witch!" A creature shouted at her.
"Empress of the Lone Islands!" The dwarf continued his speech.
"You don't belong here!"
"Go away!"
Creatures kept shouting at her to go. I agreed with them, but shouting wouldn't make matters better.
Next to us, I heard Aslan growl at the Witch. He wanted her away as bad as we did.
As the Witch came closer to Peter, Susan, Edmund, Sammy, Lucy and I, I felt my fingers tighten on my bow. An arrow was placed on top of it, waiting to hit the Witch or anyone who dared touch my family.
Aslan stood up, his tail swishing back and forth, waiting somewhat patiently.
All of us stared as she stood up. Somehow, the air got colder, and clouds covered the sun.
She walked forward to Aslan, and her subjects followed her. As she passed us, she looked at Edmund, then looked at Peter, Susan, and Lucy. Then her eyes shifted to Sammy and I. Sammy growled at her, and I glared the best one I could. She seemed surprised at my reaction. She stared at Edmund again, who was breathing heavy, before walked a little further to talk to Aslan.
"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan." She said.
People started to mutter and talk behind and all around us. We all turned to look at Edmund. I saw he was looking down, so I put a hand on his shoulder. He looked at me and smiled a little.
"His offense was not against you." Aslan replied calmly.
"Have you forgotten the laws upon which Narnia was built?" She asked cautiously.
Aslan growled louder. "Do not site the Deep Magic to me, Witch."
We all turned to look at him, his tone changed so sudden. "I was there when it was written." His eyes neared dangerously.
"Then you'll remember well that, every traitor belongs to me." The Witch replied, not showing she was scared, but I knew she was on the inside. "His blood is my property."
That sent me over the edge. I pulled the arrow back against the string and pointed it at her, just as Peter unsheathed his sword.
"Try and take him, then." Peter said.
"Edmund isn't yours at all," I added, a tiny growl forming at the end. I meant it. Edmund was taken from me twice. Wasn't going to happen again. Sammy growled louder, and barked.
One of the creatures for the Witch tightened his grip on his weapon, and knew he would strike us if needed. Peter stepped forward. I followed him.
"Do you two really think that a mere force will deny me my right?" The Witch asked tauntingly.
