I vomited, clutching the toilet seat.
This morning sickness is killing me.
Cleaning myself up, I decided today was the day I needed to get a job. I had been searching already, but now that I was actually going through with this pregnancy thing, I was gonna need some money for hospital bills. I bent over slightly, groaning. The thought of going into labor alone made my stomach twist.
It had been several days since I'd spoken to Harry, but he'd insisted that he'd help me with the hospital bills. Either way, I didn't want him to completely pay for me. So today I had one goal. Get a job.
I ate a light breakfast, hoping it wouldn't come up later. I dressed, brushed my teeth, and headed out the door.
...
I sat on a bench, eating the hotdog I'd bought for lunch. I was exhausted. No one was hiring around here. I stood up, wiping mustard off my face and tossing out my trash. Time to keep looking.
I slowly spun in a circle, eyeing all the shops and businesses in sight. Getting dizzy, I stopped myself, tripping over my own clumsy feet and landing directly into someone's chest.
"I-I am SO sorry-" I started, stepping away from the figure towering above me. "...Harry?"
The surprised look on his face lead to a cheeky grin. "Fancy seeing you here." He said, obviously amused at my clumsiness.
I blushed, tossing the hair out of my face. "Yeah- I'm sorta looking for a job."
"Any luck?"
"None! I've always been on the lookout for a job, but today I decided to really, really look for one and I've checked all these shops near and far and none of them need help!" I blurted out, frustrated.
"I know a place that's hiring." He replied simply.
My eyes widened, my full attention on him. "You do?"
"I do." He said, staring back at me with a huge, stupid smirk plastered across his face. I stood waiting for several moments for him tell me more.
He looked up at the sky, sniffing. "Lovely day today huh?"
"Harry!" I squealed, slapping him on the arm.
"What? I'm just saying! I mean, it's not too hot, not too cold,-" I reached up and pinched his lips together, jerking his face towards mine, causing him to act surprised. "Harry. I'm desperate."
He grinned before snapping his teeth at my finger playfully. "C'mon. I'll show you." He said, turning and motioning with his head to follow him.
"Aren't you going to tell me what the job is?"
He turned his head to look at me.
"Nope." he replied simply.
"Why not?" I whined.
"It's a secret." He winked.
I glared at him, making him laugh. "Don't worry. You'll love it." He grabbed my hand, tugging me along behind him. I looked at the sky, breathing in the fresh, spring air. A cool breeze blew my hair back as we went. We walked for a while, turning a corner and stopping abruptly, causing me to bump into Harry once more.
"Here we are", he grinned. I squinted my eyes against the sun, looking up to the colorful sign that clearly read NURSERY.
I immediately took a step back. "No. No way. Are you insane Harry? I hate kids! I'm horrible with them!"
