"I love weddings." Emmeline said dreamily with her hand resting on her chin as Clara styled her hair. "Emmy you are acting as though you've been to lots of weddings, You've only been to Marianne's and Nicholas' It does not count." Alexandria laughed as she checked herself over lots of times in the mirror.

"Still counts." Emmeline scowls sticking her tongue out at Alexandria who chuckles.

The Avalons were currently getting themselves dressed for the wedding taking place between Anthony and Edwina. Alexandria was practically bursting with anticipation to see how beautiful Edwina would look.

"Are you alright Lex?" Clara said noticing that Alexandria had gone quiet and Alexandria quickly nodded. Alexandria couldn't help but think of Kate, it was evident that Kate was a better match to Anthony even though they fought but they were a perfect match for each other.

"Are we all ready to go?" Marianne said popping her head into the room to which both girls nodded. The whole family had climbed into the carriage to the chapel.

"This could have be your wedding dear." Rosalie said. "You mean you wanted me to marry... Anthony?" Alexandria said confused, sure Anthony was extremely handsome but she had never thought of him that way. Wrong Bridgerton. "If only you had found a lovely gentleman in time. You did not let me finish my sentence." Rosalie finished. "Give it a rest." Alexandria scoffed and the carriage went quiet again.

The carriage had came to a halt indicating that they had arrived at the chapel. "Finally." Alexandria muttered to herself practically tripping over her own feet to get out.

Everyone inside of the chapel was standing around waiting for the ceremony to begin in their own circles. Alexandria spotted Colin and Eloise talking and immediately made her way over.

"What's the matter with you?" Colin questioned seeing that Alexandria's face looked miserable. "I thought you were excited for today?" Eloise chimed in confused. "Mama." Alexandria scoffed and Colin and Eloise nodded their heads in understanding.

"It's the wonder I have found the three of you in the midst of all this opulence, is it not?" Penelope said joining the circle they had now formed. "Quite. Her Majesty's fondness for the diamond exceeds even what Lady Whistledown suggests." Eloise said.

Alexandria subtly shook her head at the mention of Lady Whistledown from Eloise. "Daphnes wedding was not nearly as extraordinary, and she married a duke!" Eloise said. "Good point." Alexandria said raising her eyebrows, having to agree.

"Perhaps the queen requires our attention in new ways. The weight of the crown is quite heavy. Perhaps she seeks to prove herself still significant and equal to the task." Penelope suggested. "Is that not the plight of all mankind?" Colin questioned. "I believe it is." Penelope said.

"I heard you visited Lady Crane this past week Colin?" Alexandria said intentionally wanting to cause drama. "Yes he did." Eloise smirked and Colin immediately tensed up, going quiet.

"Rather bold move from you Col." Alexandria laughed. She did not like Marina in the slightest so she was overjoyed when Marina married Sir Phillip. Selfishly, it meant Penelope had Colin all to herself again. But Alexandria did not like the fact that Colin had snuck away to visit her, especially when the ton thought her babies were Colin's. "Lex!" Penelope exclaimed in horror. Colin rolled his eyes and walked away from the trio. "That was rude Alexandria!" Penelope said. "His fault." Alexandria smirked.

"Shall we sit?" Eloise asked with an air of obliviousness and they all sat in a pew.  Eventually everyone else sat down and the ceremony began and Anthony walked down the aisle looking rather nervous.

Benedict was already stood up at the alter as his position of best man, he stood with his hands clasped infront of him looking rather smug. Benedict wearing a suit was a common occurrence but today he looked different. Alexandria felt like she couldn't tear her eyes away from Benedict he looked good, delicious even.

Benedict caught Alexandria's eyes and immediately smiled at her which made her cheeks heat up and she looked towards the floor.

Kate made her entrance and walked up the aisle, she looked beautiful in her lilac coloured gown. Alexandria couldn't help but observe Anthony who was staring intensely at Kate. This didn't look like he was observing her, he looked like he was in love.

Edwina finally made her entrance, everyone stood up and Alexandria's eye lit up at the sight of Edwina. Edwina made her way down the aisle before she stood infront of Anthony.

As the Archbishop spoke, Alexandria had noticed Anthony looking distant during the speech and not at all paying attention. "That's weird." Alexandria muttered to herself. "What is?" Penelope whispered and Alexandria nodded her head towards Anthony.

"Oh no." Penelope said. The archbishop had asked Anthony to repeat after him but Anthony hadn't heard, Edwina caught on that he was looking a Kate.

Kate's bangle has fell from her wrist onto the floor and Anthony immediately dove down and got it for her while the archbishop was relaying things that Anthony was to say.

Alexandria groaned and visibly slumped in her seat at the second hand embarrassment she was experiencing. "This is not good." Penelope whispered and Alexandria nodded agreeing.

"I cannot watch this." Alexandria gasped as Edwina had looking between Anthony and Kate looking visibly hurt. "I need a moment!" Edwina exclaimed and everyone in the room collectively gasped.

Edwinas eyes widened manically scanning the room before she took off down the aisle running with Mary and Kate hot on her tail.

Alexandria was left stunned and directed her eyes towards the front where Benedict was stood with his mouth hanging open like he couldn't believe the scene that had just unfolded infront of him. She raised an eyebrow silently communicating a I told you so.

"Oh my word." Eloise said finally speaking up. "Yeah." Alexandria agreed. The rest of the Bridgerton family had all rushed over to Anthony, Eloise joining them to usher him into a room to talk privately.

"Shall we go outside? There is no point sitting waiting around for the ceremony to begin again when it won't!" Alexandria said honestly, linking her arms with Penelope's. "Alexandria!" Rosalie scolded, overhearing.

Alexandria and Penelope both took a flute of champagne and strolled round the large gardens. "What is your cousin Jack doing?" Alexandria asked curiously looking over at Jack who was currently in a rather large circle of other men talking.

"You must call him Lord Featherington." Penelope mocked. "He is probably talking about some business ventures and what not." Penelope shrugged. "And, him and Prudence are betrothed."

"Ew." Alexandria said screwing her face up. Even if they were very distant cousins, it was still disgusting to her. But saying that, majority of the monarchy is inbred. A shiver ran down Alexandria's spine at the thought.
