The day of Colin and Penelope's wedding had finally arrived and Alexandria was buzzing with excitement, her and Eloise were keeping Penelope company while she got ready for the big day, so she had to get up nice and early to go over to Penelope's family home and get herself dressed and also calm Penelope's nerves. Which would prove to be a group effort.

Alexandria's dress was already over at Penelope's home which saved her from having to trudge it over Mayfair for everyone to see. That week, had been to stressful and jam packed to even think about Benedict for too long. Alexandria was too busy helping Penelope out with wedding preparations and also try break the ice that had been created between Colin and Penelope.

Alexandria had went over to Penelope and Colin's home to try and get Colin to snap out of his mood a week before his wedding. Suffice to say, when Colin found out Alexandria knew about Whistledown he had some pretty choice words aimed at her. Alexandria knew he was hurting and was trying to soften the blow that this betrayal would land which did not work. However, she worked it out with Colin and then managed to get the pair on speaking terms again. But things were still strained.

"Hello!" Alexandria said popping her head around the door announcing her arrival. Eloise was already sat with an obviously flustered Penelope. "Pen, what's wrong?" Alexandria frowned rushing over to Penelope. "What if he does not want to go through with the wedding after all." Penelope panicked as tears started to well in her eyes. Alexandria looked at Eloise who looked back at her with a look that said she's been like this all morning.

"Don't be silly. This is Colin we're talking about he loves you very dearly, just because you have had your disagreements does not mean he doesn't want to marry you!" Alexandria reassured. "Besides, he will not shut up about you!" Eloise chimed in with a slight grown to which Penelope giggled.

"Let's wipe those tears before your mother sees and get ready, you will have a fabulous day we will make sure of that!" Alexandria smiled and Penelope nodded. "Thank you." Eloise mouthed as they went about getting ready.

Alexandria and Eloise were ready way before Penelope was, both girls had matching gowns on. They were in the Bridgerton blue which Alexandria thought was a nice touch. I can't wait until I wear this blue officially Alexandria thought as Benedict crossed her mind for the first time that day, but she quickly shook him off her mind. Benedict was starting to infect every little part of her life now, from colours she wore to even smoking cigarettes. Everything reminded her of him.

Portia Featherington had arrived along with Penelope's sisters and of course did not hold back on the insults, even on Penelope's wedding day. Alexandria did not hide her obvious eye rolls at Portia's antics, Alexandria had not liked that woman ever since she was first introduced to her. Portia swept Penelope away to get her dress on and Alexandria and Eloise were left to their own devices.

"Benedict is going to be there today." Eloise spoke up suddenly. "I know." Alexandria said with a slight nod of her head and that was the end of the conversation. That was Eloise's way of warning Alexandria so she wouldn't be surprised.

Penelope came out in a stunning white silk dress with a slight red tinge to her cheeks. "Oh Penelope, you look beautiful." Alexandria exclaimed as she examined her friends dress, it really complimented her nicely. "Not a dress I would go for personally." Portia said, she just had to say every thought that popped into her head.

"I would go for that dress." Eloise said and Penelope smiled shyly. "Let's get you to the church." Alexandria smiled and hooked her arm through Penelope's as Eloise done the same on the other side. The girls all squeeze their way into the carriage which transports them to the church, a small crowd is already gathering outside but no sign of Colin or any of the other Bridgertons.
