cw: smut!!!
Shortly after Alexandria was dragged away, the Bridgertons made their way back inside. It was eventually revealed by the Queen that Penelope was infact Lady Whistledown. But the result in the end, was indeed a happy one suprisingly. It did not feel right to Penelope to not have her bestfriend by her side, that thought made her feel solemn at the whole situation.
After the momentary buzz of the reveal, the reality started to creep back in for the Bridgertons as they made their way back home, none of them uttering a single word as the shock had took over.
Violet had received word from Footman John that Alexandria was staying in Lord Dudley's residence, she let out a little sigh of relief knowing that Alexandria was a little safe. She could not help but think of the worse.
Violet let Benedict know immediately and eventually the rest of the family. Benedict would not stop pacing back in forth which was driving Violet and Eloise mad. "Brother please sit down." Eloise pleaded. "I am just so worried." Benedict said, his voice breaking a little.
After driving himself utterly mad with worry and rage building up inside him, Benedict declared that he could not go back to his own home. He felt it would be safer to stay at the Bridgerton home surrounded by his family, Violet thought the same.
Plus, there was too many memories of Alexandria currently at his apartment. He knew he was imagining it, but he swore he could still smell her scent. Benedict also had portraits that he sketched and painted of Alexandria everywhere in the house. Everything reminded him of her.
Benedict would only continue to spiral if he was left alone and his thoughts would take over. He felt utterly helpless and useless that he was not doing a thing for Alexandria, but how could he?
Benedict had an idea. He would track down Lord Dudley's residence. After many debilitating hours of searching through records and asking around, Benedict finally got the address. It turns out his home was not too far away at all. Infact it was a mere twenty minutes via carriage.
"I have Lord Dudley's address." Benedict said coolly. "Benedict..." Violet warned in a low tone. "Benedict." Anthony warned firmly. "I have to see her." Benedict insisted. "I will find a way and sort everything out, please do not go making rash decisions." Anthony pleaded, which he never did.
"You do not understand.. I am going to see her. I will deal with the consequences you both have for me later." Benedict said. "My word is final." Benedict said firmly, Anthony and Violet turned to look at eachother before Anthony gave a subtle nod of his head in approval.
Benedict immediately got into a carriage. That is when it dawned on him Alexandria is due to be married tomorrow.
Alexandria felt herself fall into a depression, she had not been out of this room since she arrived over a week ago. Jonathan had not let Alexandria leave once. All of her food was brought up to her, she was not even eating good because it seemed she was being fed slop... no doubt at Jonathan's request.
She had also been given a new ladies maid, Olivia. Whom she quickly struck up a friendship with, Olivia was the only person she had spoken to. Olivia was deeply troubled by the situation and said herself to Alexandria that she did not approve of Jonathan's actions and that it was cruel.
Olivia was letting Alexandria in on everything that was happening in the house, she was informed that her parents had been by to visit to go over the wedding. There was no mention of Alexandria being locked in her room.
Her mother had picked out the wedding dress which was kindly made by Madame Delacroix who had came to the house to take Alexandria's measurements, when it was usually Alexandria that had to go to her shop. The art of picking out her own wedding dress was even stolen from her.
