"That's not how I expected today to start!" Scar called with with his bright, cheery voice as he sat next to Grian.

Grian didn't know what Scar was talking about. maybe because he's been off in his little bubble, thinking about Mumbo, and what he did this time to mess up his friendships. He looks at Scar now, instead, waiting for him to elaborate. He feels weird. Seeing Scar happy. Almost makes him angry. He isn't, though.

"..You know. With Jimmy and stuff. Honestly, I half expected him to end up with Tango instead." What was Scar on about? "What's going on with Tim?!" He asks a little loudly, but nobody had stopped to listen to their conversation, and he takes a breath of relief at that, even though he's still tense about whatever Jimmy could've been doing.

"..Him and Scott. They've been going around calling each other boyfriends." Grian freezes.

"What do you mean, boyfriends?" He says, a bit too aggressively for his liking, but as he turns his head to take a look at where Jimmy was, also way too fast for his liking, he sees Jimmy talking to Scott and Tango as usual. He-- Well, he knew Jimmy had been getting closer to Scott lately, but so had the whole wide world? He didn't get it.

Of all people who possibly had been pining over Scott, the blue haired boy had chose Jimmy? Really? He didn't mean that Jimmy wasn't worth choosing. Tall, blonde and freckled face, it honestly surprised Grian that this had been his first time in a relationship. But still! Popular, friendly Scott, friends with everybody and their mothers, chooses Jimmy? Really?

They don't really act all that different, if he was being honest, as Jimmy seemingly chuckles at something Tango had said. He doesn't know if that's a good or bad thing. Did it mean he should've seen it coming? Really, looking at them, it was just a different label they'd stuck on their relationship. Grian would be surprised if he heard they--

"They haven't kissed yet, have they? Please tell me no." Little innocent Jimmy surely wouldn't have-- Surely he wouldn't have gotten his first kiss and not told him! Did Pearl know about this? He doesn't know. She was in a good mood, this morning, and now-- Well, it's was In School Pearl right now, so it didn't mean anything. But Jimmy had left early- What did that mean!

"I.. Don't think so? But I also don't think Jimmy would go ahead and tell me the details of his relationship unprompted." "Well, that certainly doesn't seem the case when he's going around telling everybody about his new developed relationship instead of, oh, you know, his brother!"

There's a silence. Not in the whole room, luckily, people just keep chatting, not paying any attention to Grian's rising emotions. But there's a silence between him and Scar. Scar. Scar. His heart aches at the reminder of who he'd been complaining at for the past few minutes. Scar. Scar. Scar. He of all people shouldn't see him like that, shouldn't listen to him throwing a temper tantrum over his little brother's love life. But..

"..Do you want me to ask? You know, Grian, I can be pretty persuasive when I want to-" And Grian, as the shitty friend that he is, just tunes out Scar's speech. Instead, his mind settles on one word- Yeah, Scar can be pretty. He doesn't linger on it too long, but it's there, and instead of aching, his heart warms just a little bit. Eventually, he nods.

"Oooh! This is great. I can do it at recess. D'you wanna, yknow, come over and do us a good Gossip Girls?" Did.. Did Scar really just.. Invite him over? "Whatever version you'd like. Real or just watch the series." Scar invited him over to gossip over his brother's love life? What--- He should say No.
