I groaned, shielding my eyes from the sunlight. My head pounded, a relentless drumbeat that refused to subside. I turned, reaching for Ruhanika, but my arms closed around empty air.

"Ahhhhhh!" I winced, frustration boiling over. I sat up, clutching my hair, and yelled, "Rooh!"

The silence was deafening. No response, no movement. I snapped open my eyes, scanning the room frantically.

That's when I saw it - the bloodstain on the bed sheet. My mind reeled as memories of last night flooded back.

"Rudra, make me yours." Ruhanika's whispered plea echoed in my mind.

"You complete me, Rooh." My own words haunted me.

"Hold on for me." Her desperate whisper sent a shiver down my spine.

I clutched my head, feeling like I was losing my grip on reality. Where was she?

Panic set in, my heart racing with every passing second. I leapt out of bed, grabbing my boxers and rushing to the washroom. "Rooh!" I shouted, but only silence replied.

Desperation clawed at my chest. I tore through the apartment, searching every room, every corner. Kitchen, hall, balcony - empty.

Her room, Mama-Mami's room, Akshita's room - all vacant.

"Rooh!" I bellowed, my voice cracking with desperation.

Fear crept in, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. Has someone taken her?

The closet was next. I ripped open the doors, and my heart sank. Her clothes were gone.

I spun around, my gaze locking onto the dressing table mirror. A note was stuck to the glass.

I snatched it, my hands trembling. "We can't be together."

Ruhanika.

My vision blurred as I stared at the note. What did it mean? Why would she leave?

I stared blankly at the note, my mind reeling. Why would Ruhanika leave without a word?

A nagging feeling crept in - I'd been used.

My eyes burned as I thought about our night together. The passion, the love, the promises.

All lies?

I shook my head, refusing to believe it. My rooh wouldn't do that.

But the doubt lingered.

I grabbed my phone and dialled her number. It rang, and rang, and rang.
