She was glowing not because of any skincare product but the glow of his love, the glow of his care, his attention and thinking about him.
She giggled while applying the perfume and taking extra time to get ready. She was wearing black full sleeves, off shoulder top pairing with black pleated skirt. Accessories with a golden wrist watch and a pendant.
She applied red dark lipstick, little blush and let her hair open just the way he likes. She was in her apartment and Rudra will be living with her from today as Shivani was staying with her yesterday night.
She went towards the kitchen where Shivani was preparing waffles and pancakes for them. She hugged her tightly and giggled.
"Good morning, shivu" she wished, taking an apple from the bowl and sitting on the kitchen counter, swaying her legs up and down.
"Good morning, ruhani" Shivani wished her back with a chuckle. She looked at her, who was glowing more than usual.
"Someone is looking extra beautiful today ?" Shivani teased her, lifting the fork to ruhanika's lips and feeding her pancakes.
"I always look beautiful," she said, chewing the pancakes and licking the syrup from her upper lips. Shivani chuckled looking at her friend who was looking happy.
It's not like she never laughed or smiled with her, she does but her smile never reached her eyes genuinely. She always used to pretend that she doesn't care about boyfriend, care, attention and love but it was all assumed that she used to confront herself to tell her false assumptions.
But today, she was a blooming flower, vibrant and alive, while on other days, she merely wore a painted mask of petals, fooling the world into thinking she was in full bloom.
Humans are creatures of love; they want love and give love. They want someone who understands them, they want someone who understands their silence, they want someone whom they can rely on, they want someone who can wipe their tears, they want someone who feeds them with their hands. People used to say that at the end of the day it's you but we all know two are better than one. It's okay to rely on someone, it's okay to get emotionally attached with someone, it's okay to love someone, it's okay to fight with someone but that someone should replicate the same feelings as you.
Humans are like delicate blossoms in a vast garden, yearning for the warmth of the sun and the embrace of the rain. Each petal craves the touch of a gentle hand that understands the whispers of its colour and the secrets of its silence. In the solitude of twilight, they seek a shadow to dance with, someone who can catch their tears like morning dew and nourish their roots with compassion. Just as a flower leans toward the light, they reach for kindred souls, knowing that together, they can weather storms and bloom more vividly. Love is the fertile soil in which they grow, and while one blossom is beautiful, a bouquet is a masterpiece, thriving in the harmony of shared emotions and echoing hearts. It's okay to entwine their stems with another, to fight the winds together; for in the symphony of two, they find strength, understanding, and the sweetest fragrance of connection.
