The ultimatum: one shots

Tim and lucy argue as they were both exhausted from sleepless nights with aidan.

It was 3:45AM, Tim and Lucy barely managed to drift off into a slumber before Aidan started to wail for the 2nd time that night. Tim was already back at work for a few days and him being exhausted was an understatement, he's been running around for the twins and the baby as well as attending 12 hours shifts. He barely gets three hours of sleep a night.

Lucy was also sleep deprived, she hadn't been sleeping at all. She's always awake with the baby, then awake all day taking care of him then the twins..her and Tim hardly got time to their selves or time to spend together.

Tim stirs awake and groans.
"Shhhh" he sighs as he gets up to soothe Aidan, he realises Aidan needed to be changed so he brought him over to the changing station, that's when Lucy woke up.

"He's up again?" She sighs.
"Mhm" Tim yawns.
"Let me do it Tim. You have work." Lucy snaps, Tim frown at Lucy's tone.
"No it's fine." He snaps back in the same tone.

"suit your self" she scoffs laying back down and turning over.
Tim changes Arlo and cleans him up before laying him down to go back to sleep. The next thing he knows it's 4:30AM and he has to get up in two hours for work.
He falls to sleep for two more hours and gets up for work, Lucy and Aidan were still asleep.

Tim showers to wake him self up and changes, that's when Lucy wakes up as Tim was being a little bit loud
"you couldn't have been any louder?" She scoffs.
"Well I'm sorry I have to go to work for an income to come in!!" He snaps and Aidan started wailing.
"Fucking great Tim. Well done!" She snaps and grabs Aidan and soothes him and feeds him.

"Whatever." He mumbles walking into the living room, where it was an absolute disaster. It looked like a bomb had gone off.
"Oh my godness." He grumbles.
Lucy gets up with Aidan and brings him into the living room.

"You could have atleast tidied a little after your shift yesterday. We are meant to be sticking together." Lucy shakes her head.
"Me?! Lucy I've been running this house! What have you done?!" He shouts, he knows that was a low blow especially as Lucy has birthed Aidan a few months ago..and had been doing all the feeding.

"What have I done?! I've been taking care of your kids! Feeding them all, picking your twins from daycare! I've done all the hard parts!" She snaps.
"So they are my kids now? So the twins aren't yours. Fucking brilliant Lucy! And you've done the hard parts?! I work 12 hour shifts running with less than four hours of sleep and a baby who wails all night long, So I am sorry if I am not helping as much as o should be" he snaps, he knows Lucy didn't mean anything g about the twins but he was still irritated, he grabs his bag and Aidan starts crying and the twins come running in.

"Mommy daddy. Stop arguing your making baby brother cry." Arlo says innocently.
"I'm going to work." Tim mumbles and leaves.

Lucy rolls her eyes and sends the twins to get ready for preschool.

She takes them to preschool looking like a mess and goes back home.

Tim gets to work and sits in roll call, he didn't want to stand at the podium as he could barely even stay awake.
Tim swears he only puts his head down on the desk for a second, but he ended up drifting off to sleep.

Grey comes over and knocks on the desk to wake Tim up.
"Hmm?" Tim mumbles and looks around to eee an empty roll call room.
"You are no way going on patrol in this state." Grey states.
"Sir I'm fine. Just abit tired" Tim says getting up.

"Tim it looks like you haven't slept in days. It's understandable you have an infant at home and two energetic twins." Grey sighs.
"Sarge I'm barely getting four hours a night." Tim admits.
"Have you or Lucy had a day off since she's gave birth?"and Tim yawns and shakes his head.

"Nope. It's getting to the point where we are arguing about everything too." He sighs.
"look. Maybe pay Angela to take care of the twins tonight with Jack..then me and Luna will take Aidan." Grey suggests.

"we can't let you guys do that-" Tim shakes his head.
"Bradford we insist please. If you guys keep going this way you are both going to snap. You guys are mentally and physically exhausted..I really think you need tonight off to catch up on sleep and to make up, and getting your house back in order." Grey says and Tim yawns and nods.

"okay I am not letting you drive home when you can barely keep your eyes open. So I'm going to take you home. You and Lucy get the house back together, then I'll get Angela to collect the twins from preschool and I'll get Luna to grab Aidan and his things." Grey says and Tim nods.

Grey takes Tim home and meets Luna at the Bradford house hold and Luna takes Aidan.
"Are you guys sure?" Lucy asks and the greys nod.
"We miss our grandbaby, so yes. And we want you guys to make up and get some sleep" Luna says softly.

"Thanks so much" Lucy sighs in relief.
"Angela's going to take the twins home from school and keep them at hers. You two get all the rest you need. Bradford I don't expect you at work for a few days" grey says as him and Luna walk off.

The Bradford couple walks into the house
"I am so sorry for this morning" Tim says softly pulling Lucy in for a hug.
"Me too." She says hugging him back.
"Let's tackle this house together then go for a huge sleep yeah?" Tim offers and Lucy nods.

"Together." She smiles as they start to clean.
