The ultimatum: one shots

Aidans first word.

Tim was cutting vegetables, and preparing for dinner until he cut his finger. Aidan was sat in the high chair watching Tim prepare food.
"AH fucks sake!" He winces in pain.
Aidan suddenly starts giggling.

"You think it's funny that daddy hurt him self huh?" He coos to Aidan while grabbing a paper towel to stop the bleeding.
Aidan carries on laughing, Tim smiles at his babies laugh.

"why are you laughing Aidan?" Lucy coos walking into the kitchen.
"Aidan thinks it's funny that daddy has cut him self with the knife, don't you buddy" Tim coos and Aidan smiles and looks at his mom, his brown eyes meet hers and Lucy just smiles

"Where's the twins at?" Tim asks.
"They are playing with Jack at Angela's" Lucy tells her husband.
"Okay. Well I'll grab them now as dinner is nearly ready." Tim says and Lucy kisses her husband and watches him leave down the street to Angela's house.

Lucy goes up to her son and picks him up
"Say mama" Lucy coos booping his nose.
"Gagagaga" he babbles drooling and Lucy smiles.
"Mama" she replies.
"gaaaagaaa" he smiles.
"We'll get there one day buddy." Lucy coos bringing him to the dining room table and sits him down ready for dinner:

A few days after Tim was cleaning all the twins toys up from the floor while Lucy was bathing the twins. Aidan was sat in his bouncer watching Tim curiously.

He stood on pieces of Lego "fuck fuck fuck ah!" Tim winces hopping on one foot and scrunching his face together in pain.
Once again Aidan starts giggling.
"Do you hate me or something. You always like seeing daddy getting hurt don't you?" Tim coos looking across the room at Aidan.

"Fuck." He claps and Tim's face dropped and paled.
"What?" He asks shocked.
"Fuck fuck fuck" Aidan smiles jumping up and down in his bouncer.
"please do not say that is your first word" Tim mumbles walking up to Aidan and picking him up and carrying him on his hip.

"fuck" Aidan babbles again sticking his tongue out at Tim.
"no, no we do not say that Aidan. Bad Aidan." Tim scolds and Aidan frowns.
"Fuck." He repeats and Tim knows this is his fault, he immediately drags his hand stressfully down his face.

"No Aidan!" Tim scolds and Aidan started crying.
"hey hey, I'm sorry kiddo. Shhhhh" Tim soothes.
Lucy comes through after hearing commotion.
"The twins are in bed now after their bath, what on earth is going on?" Lucy asks grabbing Aidan from Tim.

"Uhh nothing..I'm going to go and say goodnight to the twins" he says and hurries off.
"What did your daddy do huh? He's silly isn't he?" Lucy coos tickling aidans belly.
"Fuck" Aidan replies and claps, Lucy's eyes widened..she knows by a fact she doesn't swear around the kids..so there's only one culprit for this.

"Timothy Bradford." She shouts, carrying Aidan on one hip and her hand on the other.
Tim comes over to her with a wary expression on his face and smiles awkwardly.
"yes honey?" He asks abit high pitched.
"have you taught our son the 'F' word?" She asks and Tim sighs and throws his hands up in frustration.

"No! I didn't. He heard me say it twice when I hurt my self." Tim sighs.
"I was hoping his first word was going to be mama" Lucy sighs looking at Aidan.

"Mama" Aidan repeats after Lucy and Lucy smiles brightly at Tim.
"He- he just said mama?!" Lucy squeals looking at Tim.
"Buddy say dada" Tim smiles and coos.

"Fuck" Aidan sticks his tongue out at Tim.
"I really don't think this kid likes me Luce." Tim grumbles and she just bursts into laughter.
