" mom?" 13 year old Avalynn says skipping up to Lucy who was sat on the dining room table doing paperwork, Tim took Aidan and Arlo to see the game as they were both huge Rams fans.
"yeah sweetie." Lucy asks putting her pen down.
"how..how do you know you like someone. Like more than a friend?" Ava asks shyly.
"Oooo do you have a little crush?" Lucy smiles softly and Avalynn rolls her eyes.
"Mommm stop!" She chuckles getting embarrassed.
"don't get embarrassed sweetie..if you like this person you'll probably start to feel strong compassion for them,they'll probably give you butterflies around them and you can't stop thinking about them." Lucy chuckles.
"I guess I have a crush then." Ava chuckles.
"So who's this lucky boy you have a crush on" Lucy asks.
"Someone out of my grade..he's just everything..I love him so much and he's just so handsome" Avalynn says kicking her feet excitedly.
"You must really like this boy if your kicking your feet so much" Lucy laughs.
"I do! But you cannot tell dad. He will pull his gun out on him probably" Ava says widening her eyes even imagining the situation.
"I won't I promise." Lucy smiles rubbing her daughter's hand.
"What if he doesn't like me back" she sighs taking a seat next to Lucy.
"What?? Why wouldn't he. Your gorgeous!! You're the prettiest girl in your grade Ava, you're probably even too good for him" Lucy says softly.
"Thanks mom" Avalynn says kissing Lucy's cheek and smiles.
"So have you spoke to him much?" Lucy asks and Avalynn smiles
"I have! He sits next to me in maths class. He helps me quite a lot in there as you know, I struggle with maths. But he's just so cute! We even touched hands by accident!" She smiles and blushed.
"awhhh someone's blushing" Lucy chuckles.
"Shut it!" Avalynn laughs.
"You better give me updates on this boy " Lucy smiles.
"Oh believe me I will" she laughs running off to start some homework.
